I only noticed a few benches this week, and they were all really ugly. They also had litter on and under and around them. So I wasn't going to enter a Bench picture today (01-06-20) but I saw an enormous outdoor electrical sign as part of the word BenchMark on a company, and it dawned on me that a bit of levity might make a good entry.
If you don't think it is funny, or if you just don't think it qualifies for a "Bench" them please just delete it or ask me to and I will.

Wow, 10 faves in 46 views and I can't remember which business this was that I photographed. Embarrassing! I know it was in the vicinity of 57 or 58th and Main St. in Springfield, Oregon, USA.. This was not yet any albums, groups, or tags.
OK, on night of April 13th, I figured out it was John's Market at the northwest corner of 54th and Main St.
For Dave C.: I think the Soul of this photo is that without any groups, albums, tags or even a good title, and I can't remember which place it was that I shot this, it has now 11 faves in 95 views. I think I'll go put a title on it and continue trying to figure out where the heck I was when I shot this.
If these walls could talk they would hopefully tell me which business in the east part of Springfield, Oregon USA owns this wall.

ABOUT RAINTINGS
Rainting is a word I coined describing a painterly effect, achieved by photographing the subject through glass that is being rained on, like a windshield or other. It achieves an oftentimes pretty or soft flowing effect, and sometimes other-worldly. It is usually creative, fun, and fluid, seldom harsh in my opinion. I have an album of them on Flickr. Rainting is already in "The Urban Dictionary" but I would like it to also be in a more sophisticated/educational type of dictionary. I started a public Flickr group of Raintings on New Year's Day 2020.
The more collegiate type of dictionaries say that the word has to actually be used by people before they're likely to publish it. So if you like the word and my idea, say it loud and say it clear and take a few Raintings and post them to my new group. Using my word and trying my new group are not inclusive of one another.

This particular image has what I call a Faux Rainting effect. It wasn't actually raining; just a spray bottle of water on my truck window. I'll put it in my new Raintings group, but eventually I'll try to label the ones that didn't actually use *real* rain. The majority will be real rain, as that is what I used to take my beginning "Raintings" when hadn't yet thought of a name for what I described above. And that is why I rhymed my word of Rainting with Painting. My State of Oregon USA is known for lots of rain; so I shouldn't have to resort to Faux Rainting too often (grin).

I made these two dolls especially Aquaman inspired one because Im a huge fan of Jason Momoa.
At first I made him for myself and did not expect so much love and interest from other fellow
collectors to buy him.
Lot of people messaged me and ask about buy him, so after maybe 10th request I decided to put him on e-bay as an auction.
Bids went crazy and last one was over 600 USD. I was thrilled that someone want him so badly
that he is willing to pay this price. That person also won my Viking Ken doll.
After auctions buyer messaged me and ask about e-bay promissed discount coupon and I had no idea what is going on. I offer shipping discount, but for that person it was not enough so she tryed to step back from buying them. I tryed my best to figured out what was that discount coupon and find out way to help and to apply that code after I sent her total invoice
where she was able to put that code.
After some conversation and time she paid, I packed carefully dolls and sent them with full price
insurance and tracking over seas (Australia)
She was very impatient and I was helpful to contact shipping service and find all info about parcel.
Unfortunatelly shipping time was very... very long. Buyer contacted e-bay first moment she can and fill complaint and demand refund even when we keep in touch and talk about it.
They return her money within 48 hours so I end up with nothing on my paypal. No dolls, no money.
Next day I headed to post office to put reclamation on this damn parcel.
Postal clerk took all info from me and put parcel into special search.
After another very long month parcel arrived to buyer
(I got all documents and signed paper from buyer)
I appealed an e-bay decission immediatelly try to get my money back and had to wait another few weeks to finally found out that I had been screwed.
No money and no dolls.
I messaged buyer many times but no answer for 3 weeks so I think she really do not want to pay or return them :(
Im really devastated and depressed and stop using e-bay since this is really unfair. There is no hope to get my money or dolls back. Its done and leftme heartbrolen.
Please if you ever see my dolls anywhere, please say their owner Nola Barker from Australia that she is thief and she hurt me in the worst way possible.

I have never seen any of the Kestrels I have photographed in the past fan their tail out like this. It was beautiful and amazing to watch. I was thrilled to capture it.

ABCs and 123s *K* is for Kestral as in American Kestral
This sunset photo was taken last night also (September 13, 2006), but I purposely included some powerlines for the Power Lines (Group). It only took me just a bit over 14 years to post it to more groups about power lines and telephone and utility type poles also.
I also gave it a saturation level of about 17, small amount of oil paint technique, and touched up some of the narrow wires. If I used oil paint on the whole picture, thin little wires tend to disappear (or get eaten up). The things I did were with an Arcsoft 5.5 program. I don't have PhotoShop. The last six pictures, I didn't do a thing to. They were right out of my camera. This one I did several things, and because of that it is headed to some different groups than the others.

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends as well, the *soul* of this one was not just taking sunset pictures, but planning Flickr Groups in my shots, 5 or6 beautiful and striking sunset shots, and then leaving in the telegraph pole specifically with a group in mind. In the past 14 years, not just "a" group, but lots of them.

Best viewed a little larger than the one above. I will try to find the original I made and post it down in the comment boxes and again in my Comparison & Resemblance (album).
For the Alloys & Metal pool and later on for the Metallic Objects pool, even though I did some artsy techniques on my photo this is a real wrought iron door, rather homemade looking with a pretty sunray or starburst design.

Me, today October 16, 2020. I got it mirrored correctly, and In an effort to fix that it was blurry, I may have made it look as if I don't have very many blemishes. Trust me, I have some, but not too bad considering I will be 73 in 8 more days. This picture was indoors with my Samsung Camera Phone, and it was remarkably better than two I took with my Nikon outdoors today. They are awful, and I may delete them completely. They make me look like some old hag that was 83, 5 years ago, and that probably wasn't very pretty at 35. Same person, just different cameras and settings.

This window is on a home built in 1906 in downtown Springfield, Lane County, Oregon USA. I believe the siding is called shake siding. I don't know if it is original or not. The window appears to be original.
