Sad story about my terrible experience with my favorite custom doll works.

devastatating for me.
I just need to let out my heartbreaking story of last 3 months.
!!! Please read only if you are curious what its possible to happen when you put something
to e-bay auction and things may happen in possible worst way.

I made these two dolls especially Aquaman inspired one because Im a huge fan of Jason Momoa.
At first I made him for myself and did not expect so much love and interest from other fellow
collectors to buy him.
Lot of people messaged me and ask about buy him, so after maybe 10th request I decided to put him on e-bay as an auction.
Bids went crazy and last one was over 600 USD. I was thrilled that someone want him so badly
that he is willing to pay this price. That person also won my Viking Ken doll.
After auctions buyer messaged me and ask about e-bay promissed discount coupon and I had no idea what is going on. I offer shipping discount, but for that person it was not enough so she tryed to step back from buying them. I tryed my best to figured out what was that discount coupon and find out way to help and to apply that code after I sent her total invoice
where she was able to put that code.
After some conversation and time she paid, I packed carefully dolls and sent them with full price
insurance and tracking over seas (Australia)
She was very impatient and I was helpful to contact shipping service and find all info about parcel.
Unfortunatelly shipping time was very... very long. Buyer contacted e-bay first moment she can and fill complaint and demand refund even when we keep in touch and talk about it.
They return her money within 48 hours so I end up with nothing on my paypal. No dolls, no money.
Next day I headed to post office to put reclamation on this damn parcel.
Postal clerk took all info from me and put parcel into special search.
After another very long month parcel arrived to buyer
(I got all documents and signed paper from buyer)
I appealed an e-bay decission immediatelly try to get my money back and had to wait another few weeks to finally found out that I had been screwed.
No money and no dolls.
I messaged buyer many times but no answer for 3 weeks so I think she really do not want to pay or return them :(
Im really devastated and depressed and stop using e-bay since this is really unfair. There is no hope to get my money or dolls back. Its done and leftme heartbrolen.
Please if you ever see my dolls anywhere, please say their owner Nola Barker from Australia that she is thief and she hurt me in the worst way possible.

There is only a small amount of story with this one, but it is better than no story. This vehicle was parked in the parking lot for what I'm assuming was an automotive repair place, but I'm not sure which one nor the name of it. It was very close to the sidewalk; so I stepped a few feet in (quite a ways from the working shop of this place). A man, I'm assuming one of the owners or managers of the place, strolled out toward me and the truck. I asked him if he knew what year it was. He did indeed. He said it was a 1964; I said something like it is a cool old truck.
He expounded a bit on it and said it had been handed down to him from a long time former customer. He said he planned to make it into his car hauler. I said, "Wow, it is still running?" I think he said something like with a little work it would be fine. He sounded as if he definitely wanted to use it.
I noticed in my pictures there is room on the back for maybe one car/truck that's large, or perhaps two smaller cars. It looked to me as if it already had been a car hauler in its past. I am not a mechanic nor a vehicle restorer; so I don't know for sure if it was something else, and he's going to make it work as a car hauler, or if in fact it always was a car hauler. Out of respect for him and his business I didn't wander around the sides and back of the vehicle. I did take a few pictures of some emblems on the front/side, but not very far back.
In this picture you can see a little bit of what the rear part of this truck looks like.
I took this because I like old vehicles, but also because I thought it would be great for Happy Truck Thursday group.
Duh, I just realized today is NOT Thursday. Maybe in 2 more days.....
For Dave C. and other Flickr friends, the *soul* of this one is learning about the old truck and also being willing to admit that I didn't even know what day it was. Arrrrgh!

Willamette is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable and that syllable rhymes with dam.
You can see a hint of the river down below the bank on the lower right of my photo. I used a photo program to make my very real photo look painterly.

The map location is not precise, just general. For the privacy of people's homes or yards that I photograph, that's the way I roll sometimes.
Maybe the high heels were just a tad too high?

I have never seen any of the Kestrels I have photographed in the past fan their tail out like this. It was beautiful and amazing to watch. I was thrilled to capture it.

Several of my ancestors practiced their handwriting, letters and numbers in this book of poetry written about 1827. The book is pretty crumbly, but I love having it. I can picture the long voyage with boredom setting in and not much to write on or write with, for that matter. My file name says clover, but I am thinking it is a shamrock pressed in the pages.
The book was given to me by an eccentric uncle of mine in about 1978 or so, when my children and I lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The book face page said it was written at the Dawn of the Reformation in Ireland. I checked around, and was told that would be about 1827. So the book was about 150 years old when I got it, and about 20 years old when children wrote in it. There were two children who belonged to my direct lineage, and then five of their first cousins with them, who had been orphaned. Imagine taking 7 children across the ocean on about a 3 month voyage. My direct ancestors are the couple that brought the 7 children over from Ireland, via Liverpool, England, to New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, and then up the Mississippi River to the area of Rockport and Preemption, Mercer County, Illinois, USA.. They were very brave or very desperate or both.

For "The Beautiful Things Kids Do" group, there are no actual children in the picture, but very young children were learning their handwriting while on the voyage and wrote often in this book.

For Dave C. and The Soul of the Photo, give details of the photo. I think the soul of this photo is that my ancestors wrote in a book they were probably not supposed to write in, but very young and very bored and on the long ocean crossing from Ireland to Illinois, USA were occupying their time by learning their letters and numbers about 172 to 173 years ago!

On February 10, 2020 I changed the title from indicating 15,000+ views to saying Reached Close to 20,000 Views. It is at 19,889 Views as I write this. I won't be surprised if it reaches 20,000 soon. It did reach over 20,000 views and as on very close to July 1, 2023 it has 23,3311 views!
This sunset photo was taken last night also (September 13, 2006), but I purposely included some powerlines for the Power Lines (Group). It only took me just a bit over 14 years to post it to more groups about power lines and telephone and utility type poles also.
I also gave it a saturation level of about 17, small amount of oil paint technique, and touched up some of the narrow wires. If I used oil paint on the whole picture, thin little wires tend to disappear (or get eaten up). The things I did were with an Arcsoft 5.5 program. I don't have PhotoShop. The last six pictures, I didn't do a thing to. They were right out of my camera. This one I did several things, and because of that it is headed to some different groups than the others.

For Dave C. and other Flickr friends as well, the *soul* of this one was not just taking sunset pictures, but planning Flickr Groups in my shots, 5 or6 beautiful and striking sunset shots, and then leaving in the telegraph pole specifically with a group in mind. In the past 14 years, not just "a" group, but lots of them.

ABOUT RAINTINGS
Rainting is a word I coined describing a painterly effect, achieved by photographing the subject through glass that is being rained on, like a windshield or other. It achieves an oftentimes pretty or soft flowing effect, and sometimes other-worldly. It is usually creative, fun, and fluid, seldom harsh in my opinion. I have an album of them on Flickr. Rainting is already in "The Urban Dictionary" but I would like it to also be in a more sophisticated/educational type of dictionary. I started a public Flickr group of Raintings on New Year's Day 2020.
The more collegiate type of dictionaries say that the word has to actually be used by people before they're likely to publish it. So if you like the word and my idea, say it loud and say it clear and take a few Raintings and post them to my new group. Using my word and trying my new group are not inclusive of one another.

I think the pink flowers are on a Dogwood Tree and the purple flowers are Wisteria. Let me know, please, if you think that is incorrect.
This image is with my Nikon Coolpix L820 camera . The one right after it is the same scene but it is HDR with my Pentax K-S2 Camera. I think each one has some good and bad effects.

For Identification, this pair was found at the Oregon Zoo in Portland, Oregon, which is in Western Oregon. However, it should be noted that this was a Display Type Show, and the exact origin of these butterflies is not something I know. Flickr Member Artep said maybe an "Old World Swallowtail (Papilio machaon).

Best viewed a little larger than the one above. I will try to find the original I made and post it down in the comment boxes and again in my Comparison & Resemblance (album).
For the Alloys & Metal pool and later on for the Metallic Objects pool, even though I did some artsy techniques on my photo this is a real wrought iron door, rather homemade looking with a pretty sunray or starburst design.

Me, today October 16, 2020. I got it mirrored correctly, and In an effort to fix that it was blurry, I may have made it look as if I don't have very many blemishes. Trust me, I have some, but not too bad considering I will be 73 in 8 more days. This picture was indoors with my Samsung Camera Phone, and it was remarkably better than two I took with my Nikon outdoors today. They are awful, and I may delete them completely. They make me look like some old hag that was 83, 5 years ago, and that probably wasn't very pretty at 35. Same person, just different cameras and settings.

In the image right before this, I was taking the shot for the Art Cars group and some similar ones here on Flickr. I didn't even notice the dog in that shot until later. This was beginning to remind me of the book about Clifford the Small Red Puppy.

This window is on a home built in 1906 in downtown Springfield, Lane County, Oregon USA. I believe the siding is called shake siding. I don't know if it is original or not. The window appears to be original.
