The unit is of concrete construction with decorative thatched roofs and tiled floors throughout. Cabana is adjacent to one of the pools to enjoy sunny warm sea breezes in a quiet area in relative privacy.
It has custom cabinets made with beautiful local Belizean wood, cathedral ceilings, high quality local and imported art work, fully furnished, and upgraded AC units resulting in significant savings. im in the process of creating a multimedia documentary on the graffiti artists in columbia, Mo. this is just the first of hopefully many more to come.
it was nighttime, so it was extremely dark and hard to photograph. i was shooting at iso 1600, f/1.8-2.8 at between 1/25 and 1/60 of a second. pretty dark.

Sapphire and diamond brooch custom made by Kenneth Mansergh in 1982. I've been wanting to photograph this brooch for a long time but didn't have the right lens. I still don't have a light box or the right lighting or even the knowledge, to do the piece justice, photographically. The 2ct particolour sapphire was bought in Glen Innes in the early 70s (for $60) and kept until I had the need to have it designed into a piece of jewellery. Kenneth Mansergh was recommended and I was thrilled with his design skills and expertise. He added the 9 point diamond to balance the design.
In the 1880s, the Sapphire Pool was surrounded by squat sinter (powderlike crystal) deposits that were termed "biscuits", which gave the area its name. However, the 1959 Earthquake caused the pool to double in size, destroying the deposits.

These lovely multi-colored sapphires are tini, approx 1/8 mm. Is that even possible? But aren't they lovely. I counted 220 beads on the strand. That's $35 for the whole strand.
