The finished chain in Ndebele stitch with cloissonne clasp. Note to beaders: I discovered that by working the Ndebele stitch from one side weaving back across instead of flipping it, there was a natural curve created, making the necklace fit the neck curve perfectly. They look like candy! These are the raw stones, before they are sent to Sri Lanka for cutting and polishing. Sapphires come in nearly every color of the rainbow. Who knew?
This delicate blue sapphire cabochon is bezel set in fine silver on a thin half round sterling silver wire band (1.5 mm wide). The sapphire is a 3 mm round stone and an intense blue colour.
