Blue sapphires - among my favourite of all the gems. I love blue gems and rainbow gems. I love how they sparkle and glow.
Also, I didnt know that all rubies and sapphires were a single gem: corundum. If the corundum is red (due to traces of chromium), the gem is classified as a ruby. Otherwise, it's a sapphire. Blue sapphires are worth the most, and the colour is due to trace amounts of iron and/or titanium.
Who the hell dreams this stuff up? =D

Just after I took this picture, the Rent-A-Cop demanded that I leave the property. I complied, but I find this odd for a building which isn't selling too well in the current market. You'd think they would like the publicity.

verdict still out.
yarn is soft. color is fab. has a "halo" of fuzz .... and is a bit itchy.

Now the sapphire has nice color (though it shows more of those bright blue flashes in slightly dimmer light) but the diamonds are out of focus.
