R-32, Wisconsin’s longest rustic road, offers a 37-mile journey through several county parks and the Peshtigo River State Forest. Just outside my grandparents house is this old wheelbarrow/bucket just sitting there, gathering rain water. I love this rustic look with the plant growth growing around it.

I decided to make homemade pasta, but didn't have a machine to press or cut them; I ended up just using a rolling pin and a knife.
This old birdhouse has been perched in amongst these trees forever. I never seem to tire of photographing it with every passing season.
This bird was found earlier today (Oct 23, 2014) by Gus van Vliet. The bird was hanging with a junco flock and frequenting his feeder on the shores of Auke Bay, Juneau, Alaska.

Located within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, R-74, a gravel route, passes the former Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Newald which operated from 1933–1942, and crosses the Popple River, a designated Wisconsin “Wild River.”

This is one of the old abandoned buildings from a rustic grain mill in Thamesford, Ontario. I’ve passed by this site often and finally decided to stop and take a few photos. It was a pretty gloomy day so I thought B&W with a little colour coming through would work the best. Let me know what you think! Thanks for the comments.
