These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 32 in Marinette County on June 24, 2017.
R-32, Wisconsin’s longest rustic road, offers a 37-mile journey through several county parks and the Peshtigo River State Forest. The route features multiple species of hardwoods and conifers, along with numerous granite boulders and outcroppings. R-32 also offers vistas of the Thunder and Peshtigo rivers.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

This stretch ring features a large piece of faux turquoise embedded in detailed metal designs. It exudes the rustic nature of turquoise with a modern metal flair. And best of all, this faux turquoise looks so real and is a fraction of the price!

Used one pallet to complete this coffee table. Stained with a 50/50 mixture of Provincial wood stain and paint thinner. This was constructed in roughly 1.5 hrs and airbrushed letters using letter stencils. Four coats of water based semi-gloss Varathane.
A bit tough getting focus on the bird and not the grass!
Included because this one's a bit special, pointed out by a couple of lads doing a survey on the island.

Back when, this is kind of how I envisioned the Pacific Northwest: houses clad in cedar shake (no stucco here) sitting on the rocky shore surrounded by huge evergreens and boats. Reality of course is much different except for this little spot just below the south approach to the University Bridge on Portage Bay.
Brown Rustic Rusina ferruginea in Bergen, western Norway. The most numerous species in the light-trap the last week. A rather unifrom and not the most spectacular moth.
Light & aroma, dankness, and darkness? MYSTERY* shot, no, this isn't the neglected corner of their lobby, but just a oportunity to practice blind compostion. Lacking light was the real challenge. Zooming 17 feet from below, Wagon Wheel's namesake was WALT'S thrift, why this obscure corner? Hint. Long legged Quadriped reside here. CURIOSITY~although most wouldn't see this.
