As fascinated as I am by the many abandoned cabins and trailers that sit decomposing in the Southern California desert, I'm just as intrigued by the possessions that have been left behind with them. Pictured here, a rusty old bedspring I stumbled upon in the yard of a deserted jackrabbit homestead in Wonder Valley, CA.

The rusty thing that grabs stuff was sitting on the ground, with cables leading up to the Big Boom. I just thought the rust was cool.
I went out to try the barbeque from this little roadside stand and on the way I noticed this old water tower up on a hill. After enjoying the best BBQ sandwich I think I've ever had I drove up to the tower and looked for some good shots. This is not an HDR image.
A rusting garage in a laneway behind Brock Ave. caught my eye. The pattern reminded me of an abstract painting.
