More of the rusting frame. What you can't see is that along with the surface rust (which happens where they salt the roads) is the penetrating corrosion putting holes in the frame.

You can't beat the orange rust against the blue, green and white Summer colours! --- Yell, Shetland (Jun 2008).

  

As described, this lens took a plunge in a French river. Just 1 or 2 seconds in the water was of course enough to ruin it. After 20+ years of storage in the basement, I undertook to disassemble it. One of the most magnificent parts was this rusted (but still working !!) diaphragm.

Although rust can be so destructive, i love the colours and textures it can create. This is an old chain which gets covered by the tide.

Must admit, that tiny lens which I though only as novelty, is quite nice. Maybe partly because of superior 800Zoom-zoom.

Rust Rider was built in two parts ,this way it would be easy to move around . both parts are heavy .It was built from old rusted iron found in junkyard piles as well as flea markets and gas stations . The front wheel spokes are floating ,a spring fron a motorcycle and a lot of old tools make up the handlebars and seat . Michael
