I was fortunate enough to be on hand for this shoot: "What Happened To RC? RC Concepcion and crew went to Gary, Indiana to record our highly anticipated Exposing HDR course. "
I like this image because the shape of the rusted area, and the rusted area's inner texture, was suggestive of one of the types of images that one can generate on a computer by using Fractals. The rusted area looks to me to resemble "Mandelbrot's Dragon"
Family day out to Weston-Super-Mare, rusty support under the Grand Pier.
Beautiful day considering it was mid February.
Taken using Fuji S5 Pro with Nikon 18-200mm VR lens.

Some old rusted out barrel.. Probably contained oil or gas, I guess. I didn't bother to take a look at the label.
Everything is pretty much moved out of the way as much as possible without complete removal. The brake booster (I think it's the brake booster) is held up out of the way with a wire coat hanger, and so is the bundle of wires, with a tool bag hanging on the end of the coat hanger to make sure it says out of the way during painting.
As you can see, there is a pretty good (or bad I should be saying) amount of rust, but fortunately it had only eaten through in one spot, out of view from the picture.

This is a gate from our farm. It is almost rusted all the way through in places. I liked the patina effect and texture of the rust. I can't even guess on how old it is but our house title goes back over 100 years.
A few signs of Fall caught in one of our side fences! :) You can see mostly green beyond, though! Perfect humidity and temps just now and not the sweltering we are accustomed to! :)
