I found Hot Rod Hell, a small company with an eclectic collection of vehicles outside its location waiting for restoration and TLC.
This bus has seen better days but it provides lots of image opportunities, inside and out.
I have just started processing these RAW images with LR 5 and am enjoying climbing the learning curve.
I like this image because the shape of the rusted area, and the rusted area's inner texture, was suggestive of one of the types of images that one can generate on a computer by using Fractals. The rusted area looks to me to resemble "Mandelbrot's Dragon"
ODC Rust
Our slowly-decaying old goat shed at the woods just has the most amazing combinations of rust, holes and algae. It is astonishingly beautiful in detail, although really quite an eyesore when you have to look at all of it.
Some old rusted out barrel.. Probably contained oil or gas, I guess. I didn't bother to take a look at the label.

This chain keeps the ugly orange trash can from . . . being stolen from the park? The chain is beautiful, though--so I'm glad they're worried about such things.
I took loads of picture of this boat.. She was lazily rusting on the shore and glowing in the sunset.. how can you not be captured by her! I played slightly with photoshop brush on the background to add some atmosphear, but I didn't dare to touch the Drass.

This is a gate from our farm. It is almost rusted all the way through in places. I liked the patina effect and texture of the rust. I can't even guess on how old it is but our house title goes back over 100 years.
The York to Selby line opened in 1871, and for 110 years the locomotives rolled over the river Ouse on the swing bridge at Nayburn. The junction was a slow one though, and in the 1980's the line was rerouted to help pick up speed. The bridge was left to rust, a derelict monument to a once vital link between York, Selby and on towards London. In recent years, the bridge has been found a new lease of life as part of the York to Selby cycle way.
This morning's topic for Our Daily Challenge is 'Rust & Rot.' I had to laugh at myself for joyfully thinking, "Oh good, I know where that rusting bulldozer is!" It still works. My landlord uses it. Its down at the bottom of the field that Wiki Kitty and I walk most days together.
The gate at former Emperor Haile Selassie's once splendid winter residence • Massawa, Eritrea
Former Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie's Imperial Palace (winter residence) in Massawa (formerly Ethiopia, now Eritrea) was attacked in 1990 by the Soviet-backed DERG government of Mengistu Haile Mariam during the Ethiopian-Eritrean war (after Massawa had been captured by units of the Eritrean People's Liberation Front earlier that year). The palace was heavily damaged during the attack, and since Eritrea's independence to this day the structure has been
basically abandoned.
