Had time to recreate the shot I wanted to do the other night but couldn't be bothered.
Jake has been introduced to runny eggs for breakfast and loves them, but I dare show him this version of runny eggs as I may be getting a knock on the door from social services if I actually served him this for breakfast.
For anyone interested I didn't waste any egg or creme, the soldiers were eaten to see if it actually tasted nice and i can confirm - YES - it does work and very yummy.

Fall is in it's peak, and Northern Kentucky was bathed in gorgeous color. The streets of LaGrange, KY are also bathed in color, and like countless times before, the streets once again make way for the main event, as CSXT 8702 leads Q133 down Main St.
Utah Railway F45 6606 stands in the road’s yard in Martin, Utah. It appears to have a severe case of runny paint, or more likely, has blown oil all over its roof.

Funny story: I was trying to avoid my neighbors and my mom from seeing me with paint all over my face- it didn't work :)

So just a little sidenote: watercolor is NOT easy to get off your face (I'm actually still trying to get it all off- and I have youth group tonight. Dang.) but it's ideal if you want a runny paint look :D
Everything is desaturated except the watercolor.....

Tomorrow's 365 is going to be difficult because my cousin is getting married!
so I'm gonna attempt to wake up around 4:45 or 5 (ugghh) and shoot outside...if not I'll just post one from the wedding or something :) ahhh I'm so excited, I get to shoot her portraits with a couple other people!! its gonna be funnnnn :D

Salt-secretion of the supraorbital / nasal gland. It looks a bit like a sneeze but like a fulmar or shearwater, this gland is always running (like a runny nose) so when the penguin shakes his head as he ruffles his feathers (as in this shot) he sprays his snot over his friends.

OMG - Friday could not have come soon enough!!! I don't know about the rest of you but it has been a tough week! Too much work, allergies to where my head felt like it was in another world, raw throat, runny eyes and nose and did I mention way toooo much work? I adore Spring but the pollen is crazy - the cars are all covered so everyone is driving green ones at the moment!! Sorry if I didn't comment much - all I wanted to do was sleep!! Can't really take anything because I'm allergic to antihistamines so I just have to tough it out and drink lots of tea, gargle with vinegar, rest and pray it will go away!!!!
Hopefully I will recoup today (I had my 40 hrs in by yesterday afternoon - UGH!) so today is R&R (and some Flickr time looking at your beautiful pics) - I need to feel better because Lis and I are going to shoot fences in Savannah either Sat or Sun - can't wait!!!
I took this fence shot in Aiken, SC - just love the colors behind from all the flowers - had a shot that was further away - but loved the close up of this and hope you do too!! I got about 20 great fences there - my brother and I walked all around town searching and shooting - we had a blast!!! He's the best!!

With apologies to Flickr friends who have heard me bang on about this at the beginning of each year.
This is Local Beekeeper's Honey - I take a spoonful of this each morning from Jan 1st until the end of my hayfever season.
The theory behind this is that because it's raw and unrefined, it contains pollen granules and by taking small amounts of pollen daily, then by the time the hayfever season begins you've desensitised your body to its effects .
As a rule it's quite crunchy , but quite often no two batches are the same This is the last drop of this year's batch which I have at home so possibly looks runnier than usual.
Sorry for the repost but I have come home with a terrible sinus infection! Runny Nose, Coughing, Headache right behind the eyes. Hopefully I will be better soon!!!

Camembert was reputedly invented in 1791 by Marie Harel, a farmer from Normandy, thanks to advice from a priest who came from France.[1]
However, the origin of the cheese known today as Camembert is more likely to rest with the beginnings of the industrialization of the cheese-making process at the end of the 19th century. In 1890, an engineer, M. Ridel invented the wooden box which was used to carry the cheese and helped to send it for longer distances, in particular to America where it became very popular. These boxes are still used today.
Before fungi were properly understood, the colour of Camembert rind was a matter of chance, most commonly blue-grey, with brown spots. From the early 20th century onwards, the rind has been more commonly pure white, but it was not until the mid-1970s that pure white became standard.
The cheese was famously issued to French troops during World War I, becoming firmly fixed in French popular culture as a result. It has many other roles in French culture, literature and history. It is now internationally known, and many local varieties are made around the world.
The variety named "Camembert de Normandie" was granted a protected designation of origin in 1992 after the original AOC in 1983.
Baked Camembert
I’ve pushed the boat out a bit this week I think, and sourced a stoneware brie baker, a small traditional Président Camembert (less than 3 inches), some sun-dried tomatoes, and rosemary for decoration and flavour.
Whilst I had the Camembert cooking, I started on the Ciabatte bread, drizzled with olive oil, and pan seared in a griddle.
It seemed a shame to almost ruin the effect for the image by dunking the toast, but rest assured that not long after this, the delightful dish was fully consumed! Not too shabby for a first attempt.

second steamed egg was left in the steamer, hob off and lid on, for a couple more minutes, whilst i took the photo of the first egg and ate it :)
sliced the top off the second egg - firmer with a soft centre, that's more like it!
verdict: tasted delicious and flavoursome :) a much lighter, cleaner, more delicate appearance and taste than my usual boiled egg - a definite thumbs up

As for selection and safety...make sure when purchasing eggs in a carton you open it to avoid buying eggs that are cracked, broken, or leaking. And although the shell is a great protective barrier, it's porous and not impenetrable as some mistakenly believe, so make sure the outside of the eggs are clean.
The best was to avoid salmonella poisoning is to store eggs properly in a refrigerator on an inside shelf and to cook them thoroughly until the yolks are firm. Raw eggs or runny yolks are an invitation to disaster...same as eating under-cooked chicken. Your chances of becoming ill increases substantially if the yolk isn't fully cooked. As for that hangover cure that includes a raw egg...ditch it :-)

Well, Penny got a call from her boyfriend on Valentines day (And don't ask who it is cause she won't tell me! XD) And he also sent her this pillow ^_^
Valentines day went better than I thought it would. I thought it would be super awkward (For ... certain reasons ... = P) But it was just like a regular day and was normal! = )

Okay, first update: I got braces!!!!
... ... the first couple of hours it was fine, and then they started to hurt a lot! And I got them on Wednesday, but they're still pretty uncomfortable, so I have yet to get used to them. It also hurts to bite down, so I still can't chew. And also, brushing is a pain. But I'm assuming it'll get better once I grow into them, right?

Second update: I'm so sick T.T I got sick the day after I got my braces. I had missed Thursday and Friday of school. I have a runny and stuffy nose, and this HORRIBLE cough!! And my throat really hurts! And I'm tired and I feel really weak T.T

Third update: I MAY or MAY NOT be going on flickr for a while due to everything that's going on. I have to sort things out and organize myself, and I think with less things to worry about, I can do that. But, we'll see.
A perfect boiled egg for breakfast is one of the little things that pleases me at the start of the working day, along with a slice of wholemeal toast. I buy large free range eggs and it has to be boiled for 8 minutes for it to be just right for me. I hate runny whites in an egg so boiling for 8 minutes leaves just enough runniness in the yolk but not in the white part. I am so fussy about this that I would never have an egg or anything made with an egg (e.g.omelette, scrambled eggs, quiche) when eating out as I couldn't bear to find it to be runny.

- The chocolate coating on the first lot was too thick.
So, we ate the Lamingtons as quickly as possible in order to make a second lot.
- The second lot looked nice and golden in the oven.
Alas,
I forgot to add baking powder and the slab of cake was almost rock hard. I suppose, I could have kept them as teeth shattering cookies, but thought they were less trouble in the bin.
- This, the third lot, looked and tasted just right.
For this lot, I changed the chocolate coating from water, cocoa powder and icing sugar, to about 150mL of milk, 200g good dark chocolate, icing sugar and some hot water to make it a bit more runny. This worked well and appears to be less sweet.

Voilà ce que m'évoque cette image lorsque j'ai vu le résultat à l'assemblage 😮. Ma première projection 360° en mode planétarium, toujours au Cap Gris-Nez. Ce genre de panorama permet de contempler l'ensemble de la voûte céleste d'un seul coup d'œil 👀.

La Voie Lactée est facilement visible en traversant le ciel de gauche à droite en passant presque par le zénith. L'ensemble de la lumière Zodiacale est également visible du haut en bas avec une courbe plus prononcée.

Sur ce plan, la luminosité des étoiles est plus représentative que sur le panorama "planète", posté il y'a quelques semaines. L'étoile la plus brillante du ciel est présente sur la gauche de l'image, il s'agit de Sirius. À ne pas confondre avec le phare du Cap sur la droite, qui émet énormément de lumière.

“Then he said something about going for melons, what are melons, Sky?”
“I am not sure that I know, Barnaby. Posh, do you know what melons are?”
“I think they are things that he eats sometimes. Big, yellow things from memory.”
“Posh, where do melons come from?” Asked Barnaby.
“I think they come from a small seed much smaller than your paw pad, that in turn can grow into a big tree, which in turn may produce these melons.” Said Posh Bear looking rather smug that he had the answer.
“Wowsers Posh, that means he could be away for many, many sleeps if he is going to wait around for all that to happen. If that is the case maybe we should have a party.”
“Barnaby, he won’t have to wait for them to grow, he will order them on his shopping list from the same place as we get our honey from.”
“Do they have these big trees loaded with melons on them there then?”
“No Barnaby, they get the melons in from someone else who grows them.”
“Posh, why do they grow them if they don’t want them, and are going to let the place, we get our honey from have them, who also don’t want them, because they are giving them to the man? So compli…complic… difficult to understand.”
“Think of it like our honey Barnaby, the place we get our honey from does not have lots of buzzy things making it, they get it from a place that does have lots of buzzy things that make our honey and then they let this place have it so they can give it to us.” Explained Bertie which on reflection didn’t seem to help one bit.
“Posh, has the wet the man was on about got anything to do with melons or our honey? I wouldn’t like wet honey like they sent us once before. Do you remember, it was runny stuff, not proper honey. Sky said it had been polluted.”
“I think Sky meant diluted, and no I don’t think the man was on about wet melons or wet honey. The man probably meant the weather outside, Barnaby.” Said Posh Bear hoping that was an end to this conversation.
“Whether what is outside, Posh? Whether it is wet or not?” Asked Barnaby looking around him for a reply as Posh rubbed his head with a paw.
“I’ll tell you what, how about we forget all about what the man said and go and have a honey feast. I have three jars that need using up.” Said Posh Bear looking around hopefully.
The bears all nodded their heads eagerly and stood up ready to go.
“You are so clever Sky, you said that Posh would offer us his honey if we had this complic…complic… hard chat.” Said Barnaby looking very happy. “Did I do well, Sky?”
“Barnaby, that was supposed to be a secret.” Said Sky quietly.
“Sky, what is a secret?”
Sky smiled at Posh and then he hurried away to find the honey closely followed by Barnaby and Bertie.

I have been sick since Monday, with a runny nose and a scratchy throat and I didn't take any medicen until last night, I couldn't take it any more. I lay in bed, fever and chills were killing me. At that moment I hope I could talk to him. I hope he could come take care of me as I did to him everytime he was sick.
Then I told myself, don't be silly, he won't bother. You can take care of yourself. So I got up and dressed myself, and staggered out of home. It was 2:00am, but luckily there was a drugstore near my home.
As I lay down again, I coudn't fall asleep. I felt the viruses were fighting in my body. I have been thinking about him, but what exactly, I don't remember. Then the medicine worked, and I knew nothing more.
When I woke up this morning, I felt so weak that I couldn't even open my eyes. But when I did, the first flicker of morning light called me back to life again. I saw my love under the sunshine. He was smiling at me. He said, well done, my girl, well done.

My father worked at P&G and my husband worked at P&G.
My Dad (and his PhD partner) were the men who successfully put Fluoride into a toothpaste base, and my Dad was hired by Procter and Gamble to use their achievement to develop Crest Toothpaste. I grew up using all the failures.... because they all had fluoride in them.... failures like toothpaste that was runny, or bitter tasting, or too gritty. We had a whole box of failures in the closet, so we used them for years.
Then, when I was in fourth grade, Crest came out onto the market, and two of my sisters, and one of my brothers and I all got to go to NYC to make one of the first Crest Commercials.

These are P&G coasters... one of those P&G gifts the company gives to its employee's families at Christmas time. We've had them for many years.
