Hopefully there is no farmer with a gun on Oare Marshes nature reserve and this one was happy to run to me and not away.

San Miniato al Monte is a basilica in Florence, central Italy, standing atop one of the highest points in the city. It has been described as one of the finest Romanesque structures in Tuscany and one of the most scenic churches in Italy. There is an adjoining Olivetan monastery, seen to the right of the basilica when ascending the stairs.
St. Miniato or Minas was an Armenian prince serving in the Roman army under Emperor Decius. He was denounced as a Christian after becoming a hermit and was brought before the Emperor who was camped outside the gates of Florence. The Emperor ordered him to be thrown to beasts in the Amphitheatre where a panther was called upon him but refused to devour him. Beheaded in the presence of the Emperor, he is alleged to have picked up his head, crossed the Arno and walked up the hill of Mons Fiorentinus to his hermitage. A shrine was later erected at this spot and there was a chapel there by the 8th century. Construction of the present church was begun in 1013 by Bishop Alibrando and it was endowed by the Emperor Henry II. The adjoining monastery began as a Benedictine community, then passed to the Cluniacs and then in 1373 to the Olivetans, who still run it. The monks make famous liqueurs, honey and herbal teas, which they sell from a shop next to the church.
The interior exhibits the early feature of a choir raised on a platform above the large crypt. It has changed little since it was first built. The patterned pavement dates from 1207. The centre of the nave is dominated by the beautiful freestanding Cappella del Crocefisso (Chapel of the Crucifix), designed by Michelozzo in 1448. It originally housed the miraculous crucifix now in Santa Trìnita and is decorated with panels long thought to be painted by Agnolo Gaddi. The terracotta decoration of the vault is by Luca della Robbia.
The crypt is the oldest part of the church and the high altar supposedly contains the bones of St Minias himself (although there is evidence that these were removed to Metz before the church was even built). In the vaults are frescoes by Taddeo Gaddi.
The raised choir and presbytery contain a magnificent Romanesque pulpit and screen made in 1207. The apse is dominated by a great mosaic of Christ between the Virgin and St Minias on its vaulted ceiling dating from 1297; the same subject is depicted on the façade of the church and is probably by the same unknown artist. The crucifix above the high altar is attributed to Luca della Robbia. The sacristy is decorated with a great fresco cycle on the Life of St Benedict by Spinello Aretino (1387).
Snow Patrol - Run
I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done.
And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
To think I might not see those eyes
It makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbyes
I nearly do.
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear
Louder, louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say
Slower, slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads
Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess.
Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

So far, my only visit to this beautiful waterfall was in the first workshop I participated in, in September 2014: Potomac Highlands Photography Workshop, offered by Randall Sanger Photography, with Todd Williams as co-leader. Randy tried to take my brother Ted and me to this site in May this year, but forest road 18 -- never in good condition -- had been severely washed and strewn with rocks by recent rains, keeping us from driving in. We could have walked the better part of a mile in, but we had found some falls with too much water for decent photography and decided not to walk in and out of this location, fearing the time might be wasted.

On the way back from visiting the Garden of St Erth, Blackwood we came across a paddock of sheep. As soon as we stopped and got out of the car they started to run. So this one crossed in front of me as the flock in general ran away! As you can see the paddock is very dry and thistly with not a lot of feed showing the problem the drought has had.
Today, I will run for pure,
absolute joy!

So we started the day off at Winwick, it was kind of bad after the cats, so we headed for Crewe Casey Lane. Now I wasn't going to upload this, I was going to upload 68016 but I've warmed towards it since taking it! I didn't know what was on it, but I presumed a 92. We were waiting for it from 17:20 - 17:40 and I decided to head back to the vantage point for the north bound traffic. It turned out to be a good move because seconds after I had to run for 66538 working Southampton - Trafford Park. Then almost moments after it disappeared 92032 emerged so I had to run all the way back again! It was full sun so I was pleased! Then as I was coming back 90041 came north working from Felixtowe - Crewe. Here is 92032 working 6L48 the Garston - Daggenham Docks cars past Crewe Casey Lane 30/3/16

Fresh into the Canyon, the crew of Watco's Agawa Canyon train performs the run around move during the 90 minute layover. While our car wasn't the most comfortable the train ride was well worth it, amazing weather and some good color along the way.
I enhanced the saturation to identify the blue tubing more clearly.
The blue tubing is pegged into the Maple tree, the sap runs through it and runs into the thicker black tubing which carries the sap down the hill to the Maple Shack. Where it is boiled.
Yield: 40 gallons of sap = 1 gallon of Maple syrup !

Thanks to everyone who took the time to view, comment, and fave my photo. It’s really appreciated. 😊
The cheetah is a big cat that inhabits most of Africa and parts of Iran. The cheetah can run as fast as 109.4 to 120.7 km/h, faster than any other land animal. It covers distances up to 500 m in short bursts, and can accelerate from 0 to 96 km/h in three seconds.

Stony Run is a lovely urban oasis running through the middle of north-central Baltimore. On Wednesday we walked the 2 1/2 miles from Wyman Park, near Johns Hopkins University, to its end near Northern Parkway. Part woods, part city, the trail follows the old Ma & Pa (Maryland & Pennsylvania) railway bed. Along the way you pass by the Hopkins campus, as well as a couple of the private schools in that area. We have lived here our entire lives, and this was the first time we have walked this pretty trail.
