My sister's dog Daisy having fun on the farm. Initially i was lining up the shot, and saw her about to photo-bomb it, and thought yeah, this could work. A bit less depth of focus than i had hoped for, but as excellent as the Sony RX100 MK1 is, it doesn't have a tilting screen for ease of framing in a low pov, and thus this is the best i could aim for at the time. ☺

The Merrion Centre, Leeds was built 50 years ago, the first shopping mall of its kind to be built in the UK. It is still run by the same family that built it and is currently being renovated and expanded to take on new challenges.
33 of my photos were included in the commemorative hardback book designed by Andy Edwards. My photos were taken over the 3 days allowed for the project. It was great to be let loose with high-vis jacket and an excuse to engage people.
I took a lot of pictures. So far I have uploaded only 15 from this years project. The rest were taken in recent years but sometimes reflect a scene which is now gone forever. I will be uploading a good bunch of them here to Flickr (such an important archive). Watch out. Here they come...

I shot this out on a whim yesterday. My intention was to just go out and get shots of the clouds that were forming for stock and because of how awesome they looked. I ended up creating this concept after seeing awesome the light was out on location after arriving there.
I have been trying to practice coming up with a new concept on the spot so when situations like this arrive I can sucessfully create a new image. It's been difficult in the past to do this when you have a sprung up oppurtunity to shoot but I think being able to create this image and do it sucessfully was a good start to be able to start putting that into motion.

A tractor run through the north Nottinghamshire countryside on Sunday 14th December 2025. Stopped off here at the halfway point at the North Leverton Windmill - the very same mill that the run was raising money for to help keep it running.

D908 has just finished its work in Alto and is now shoving its train back into the siding at Elmdale. The crew will then run around to the east end of the train with their pair of Geeps and head back to Lansing.
after all the rain we have had ,the water is running down off the rocks & land into the river, we don't see this very often..........

At some stage facts of life become invisible to us. One is that we stop wondering that liquid can take any shape. That clouds, made off vapour, can come down as rain water and cover vast stretches of land while the Moon and Earth spin drag it along the way into unconquered places. "Run water run" turns into observable habit and "Get out of the way" behavaulity custom.
After all, water was and still is, our mirror into the world of reflections and is very watchable while it slowly spills over before our lens.
