"The rule sɑys thɑt if ɑ mɑn doesn't cɑll you, it's becɑuse he doesn't wɑnt to cɑll you. If he treɑts you like he give ɑ shit, it's becɑuse he gives ɑ shit ɑbout you. And if he betrɑys you, it's becɑuse he doesn't like you enough. There ɑre no scɑred, confused men or disillusioned. There ɑre no men trɑgicɑlly ɑffected by pɑst experiences, in need of time. Men ɑre divided into only two cɑtegories: those who love (you) ɑnd those who don't love (you). All the rest is ɑn excuse."
I think it's fair to say that I know this dog pretty well. Look at all that road he's got in front of him, yet he still waits patiently for Scott and I to finish enjoying whatever it is we're staring at. You're such a good boy Boo.
These are the rests of an old pier on the beach. I was quite lucky to get a proper combination of nice sunset and low tide! :-)
I love symmetrical compositions, but I also like the rule of thirds... so I have tried to combine both of them together with a long exposure. :-)

During the long shutdown of society in 2020, MONA got busy for 9 months adding to its grounds what is nominally a children's playground. In reality it is a fabulous sculpture by the New York artist Tom Otterness. He called it, "Girls Rule".
Então.... Comecei a fazer um graphic, como sempre, e acabei fazendo isso, bem diferente de tudo que eu faço, mas eu gostei bastante. .
Porque usar títulos é muito mainstream, vi isso em algum flickr. xoxo

Its Aries season and as a personal purveyor of this amazing sign, I decided to commemorate it with a photo. Although personally, my allergies are screaming.

"The White Rose" tour train from Shrewsbury to York, hauled by no. 70000 "Brittania" passes Little Fenton on its final leg to York. Unfortunately steam was shut off for a signal check at the upcoming junction. However the loco looked magnificent as it cruised past.
People who sit in economy class and immediately put their seats back as far as possible annoy me...especially when I am behind them.
And people who bring little kids onto 11 hour red eye flights and THEN rock their seats back should be collected and then put on an island somewhere.
This picture is me at the end of the epic flight from Cape Town to London.
Okay. It's not me...exactly. It's part of a much bigger statue outside Buckingham Palace. (We are staying just a few minutes away from there.)
What a contrast!
Cape Town was shorts during the day and nothing but skin at night because it was SO hot.
London is quite a bit colder (although not by Canadian standards) and we arrived here very early in the morning and have been kicking around ever since.
We're in a hotel with internet access...so you can expect to hear a LOT from Sheree.
Looking forward to poking around this great city.
We booked theater tickets for the next three nights. (Sheree promptly announced she wants to see a "play EVERY night" and so...okay.) We're going to Billy Elliot, Oliver and a hot new West End play called War Horse.
I have already noticed, however, that Brits continue to have no idea how to live through cold weather. They put on sweaters instead of turning up the heat.
Our room wasn't warming up fast enough for Princess Sheree...so I watched her turn the hair dryer onto her bug bitten, goose fleshed body. (There are times when it could be dangerous to laugh out loud...but you have to anyway.)
We stopped for fish and chips and the restaurant was nearly as cold as it was outside. They were all in sweaters...not us.The walls DID reduce the wind, though. But the food was good.
Yeah, yeah...I hear it already: the reminder that North Americans suck up 40 percent of the world's energy resources with less than 7 percent of the population.
So?

Abused Abandoned Jungle Dogs.
Alright these guys have their own rules
and they can never be broken, never !
Well except now and then or once in awhile.
Rocky always eats his food from the yellow
bowl. Tinker Bell always eats her food from
the pink bowl. But today Rocky insisted that he
could only eat his breakfast from the pink bowl.
As you can see Tinker Bell is not real happy .....;-)~

Thank You.

Bristol Britannia cockpit section on display at Aerospace Bristol
This section is from the second prototype GALRX which made a forced landing in the River Severn Estuary while on a test flight on the 4th of February 1954

Howard Hughes wanted the Britannia for his TWA fleet but initially it was plagued with issues around it's Proteous Turbo-prop engines. By the time those issues were solved and the fact that Bristol didn't have the production capacity required, that order evaporated

Rules of Boxford Mercedes-Benz 811D Dormobile Routemaker J220 HDS comes through the ford at Kersey working the HH314 to Hadleigh. Was new to Felix of Long Melford in January 1992. This service is now operated by Beestons and picks up and drops off at the Church. So no longer a service through the village, since Suffolk Norse discountiued the tue/thu 112 service to Sudbury.
I have completely forgotten everything about using a slide rule..in pre computer times we used them all the time at school...this was Mrs Nahpro' s I think..
For Macro Mondays theme; "Rule".
A Leatherman tool is such a useful device, that most woodsmen (and women) carry them at all times.
When fully open to expose the inside - you will find measurements much like a ruler would have. So I think this would come under the heading of "rule".
HMM!
Dew drops in the meadow. I was not sure if you would allow this photo as it is not of the current week. This past week it has been so hot that dew drops were not easy to come by. I would totally understand if you deleted this according to the rules.
