I found this doorstop at a place on St. Simons Island, and it cracked me up so much I had to get it. :)
Lupine Lace in lightweight STR Ruby Slippers. This one replaces the Tanzanite (also lightweight STR) sock I was knitting. The pattern wasn't fitting well as written so after an un-tearful ripping apart, colour change, and pattern modification I've started again.

This is Elphaba the rag-cat. She's based on The Wicked Witch of the West from the book (and musical) "Wicked".
You can read more about Elphaba on my blog, a link to which you'll find in my profile.
If you look closely you can see Casey being seriously annoyed at one of the people out there who insisted on reading each menu item out, in full, to her companions, along with commentary such as, "that looks nice ..." and "... oh that comes with bacon."
Breakfast was great, though. We will be back.

At the story garden, I immediately notice the poor Wicked Witch of the East and her ruby slippers. I couldn't find any Munchkins around or any other witches.
