A gloious moment in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy parks her house on the wicked witch (one of them of course!).
A Gift For All Lovers Of Dorothy. If you enjoy the Wizard of Oz, you are sure to love The Yellow Brick Road Shoe. A pair of hand made Dorothy shoes and the Wicked Witch of the West's broom stick lie engagingly on the toe. Grass, pebbles and hand painted sky allow for the dream like quality. The keepsake holds the title. A truly gorgeous creation for art collectors or gift buyers, that is over the rainbow.

Truly not so far away
With Ruby Slippers.
1 - a map (Oz, baby!)
2 - something that corresponds with that map (Ruby Slippers)
3 - cross processing (totally did it)
I love it when I have a fully-formed idea. They aren't always exactly what I capture on-camera, but they usually come out pretty close. The map was small, the ruby slippers were pretty big, but I still like the effect.

A Wizard of Oz themed 21st cake. It was all about the red shoes, so they were the main feature of the cake
Chocolate mud, with dark chocolate ganache.
All fondant decorations, including ruby slippers, 'melted witch' and the witchs legs hanging out from the side of the cake (she had a cake land on her instead of a house!)
Her new favorite shoe. Even though they had a range of sizes from infant to adult, it seemed this was the largest they had in her range. They looked so uncomfortable I didn't think she'd actually wear them much, but she did seem quite attached to them, and they were, I have to admit, rather cheap, so I got them. But sure enough, she's been wearing them every day, and refuses to wear anything else. Her one consolation is that she'll grudgingly wear a pair of socks (and occasionaly, at that). But invariably, when we pick her up from school, they're always gone. Somewhere at her school, there must be a huge pile of her socks. Or the sock fairies been taking them or something.
The book that inspired Elphie the rag-cat. If you haven't read "Wicked" yet, I recommend doing so now! It's really, really good and an interesting musing on the nature of good and evil.
The cross of St. Judy, the patron saint of the lgbt community, is formed of stiletto-heel shoes in rainbow colors with the ruby-hued shoe featured prominently. St. Judy protects from persecution for sexual orientation and helps one to find true love and a home.
