The wicked witch of Eastwick got the ruby slippers!

"You've always had the power my dear, you just had to learn it for yourself."

This is my version of the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz. He is hand sculpted out of high quality Polymer clay over a strong wire armature. He stands 6.5 inches tall. There are no molds used in any of my sculptures.

Here's a beautiful design named "The Ruby Slipper." It's a complete rip off of the Silver Slipper bulb sign which is in the collection of the Las Vegas Neon Museum and is awaiting refurbishment.

The question remains, why did the City of Las Vegas blow of its own city sign museum and create crap knockoffs of historic signs instead of relighting the real historic signs these are based on?

The "Ruby Slipper" design by the way, does not glow with red light bulbs at night. It actually spins on an axis and lights up with bright white bulbs — just like the historic Silver Slipper it is copying once did.

I just got back from a whirlwind vacation to Washington DC and the surrounding area.

I'm going to blog about it and you are invited to check it out if you would like.

Glad to be back home - a little like Dorothy!

This is done with help from a Gavin Hoey tutorial on Youtube. I did all the photography for a project at college called "Storytelling",basing my ideas on the Wizard Of Oz.

Saw this in the Smithsonian gift shop and cracked up...ain't it the truth?

there's no place like home

In Southport's Hesketh Park on a Wizard of Oz publicity shoot several years ago.

Gone, gone! It's so short that my first tattoo is visible. I love my sunglasses. I also love sleeveless turtlenecks. That's all.

I don't think I was constipated or otherwise uptight in this photo, so just ignore the pinched expression. HAIR. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE HAIR.

Ruby slippers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frankencow was homesick. Adventure was all very well, but she wanted to be at home. Late at night, she would curl up in her bed below deck and dream of home.

Instead of counting sheep, she repeated the phrase that the Good Witch Glenda gave to Dorothy: "There's no place like home."

Even though Frankie knew she didn't have any ruby slippers, she felt sure that saying was believing, and believing would bring her her true heart's desire.

Chocolate fudge birthday cake for a six year old fan of The Wizard of Oz and the Ruby Slippers.

Just made these for my cousin! What do you think?

Worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz.

This is Elphaba the rag-cat. She's based on The Wicked Witch of the West from the book (and musical) "Wicked".

You can read more about Elphaba on my blog, a link to which you'll find in my profile.

Twig: I got to wear this cute little Hey Cavey shirt around! It's actually made for Blythe, but it looked pretty adorable with my H. Naoto skirt. :)

Steps in San Francisco adorned by abandoned ruby slippers. I left them, too. Hope the next person enjoyed the view as much as I did. 20150914-2sf-shoes-DSD_7554

A gloious moment in the Wizard of Oz when Dorothy parks her house on the wicked witch (one of them of course!).

A Gift For All Lovers Of Dorothy. If you enjoy the Wizard of Oz, you are sure to love The Yellow Brick Road Shoe. A pair of hand made Dorothy shoes and the Wicked Witch of the West's broom stick lie engagingly on the toe. Grass, pebbles and hand painted sky allow for the dream like quality. The keepsake holds the title. A truly gorgeous creation for art collectors or gift buyers, that is over the rainbow.
