We all have routines. How we organize a shopping list, what order we put our shoes on, what we pack for lunch, meditation, whatever.
Since my unexpected joblessness in 2012, I've come up with a number of different routines in order to still feel I am a part of the real world - foods I cook every week, how I hunt for and apply for jobs and a schedule of when that happens, exercise, and this - every Friday, I grind cofee so that the grounds are fresh to made into coffee on Saturday morning. I am not an every-day coffee drinker, so making coffee well and using the best materials (freshly ground beans, french press) is important to me . . . and all the mor so because when I make coffee on Saturday mornings its so I can enjoy a breakfast with someone who really does like coffee serious, and who I like . . . well . . . more than a little bit.
It's not that I'm lacking time, perhaps it's inspiration? Mostly though it's motivation.
Life has changed so much I feel like I'm dreaming when I wake up in the morning.

This is my morning routine. Shower, hair, makeup....
....and every time I do my makeup, I sit in the sink. It's weird, I know, but it helps me get closer to the mirror. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does it. It looks uncomfortable but it's actually not.. It's much easier than standing there, leaning over the sink... I fit there quite nicely. DONT JUDGE ME! haha.
So anyway, here's a a tiny look into the routine I go through everyday.

2 year olds: the epitome of "mini me"s. These little people reflect the good, the bad, and the ugly (unfortunately) revealing who we are in their toddler perceptions. Lately this little one has preferred to sit in the sink while I complete my makeup routine creating her own rendition of a "pretty face". :)
My office is 5th floor. Seagulls and some othets birds flighting around time by tme. Almost every day I open window and waiting with camera... that day I'm lucy.

" Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... "

This is a set of photos I took some 10 years ago at my home in Lisbon, with an old point&shoot Kodak.
My Toy loved to jump around the house, always seeking the highest points ...
For 12 years he was a faithful loving friend and companion. He was The Master of the House :-) and he definitely filled it with his presence.
He will always be there... and with us.
Thank you so much, Toy, for having been with us and for those 12 years of joy and tenderness!
I do hope you come to meet me one day... at the Rainbow Bridge.
Lots of love,
Vanda
A nurse waits for families to arrive at a "routine" immunization session - which should be offered regularly in communities. The routine system offers all childhood vaccinations and usually tetanus for pregnant woman. It's the backbone of child and maternal immunization programs.
Dave shoots a lot of video in his regular routine as a content creator and media consultant. I think "branding" his Flip is a brilliant move. When he interviews people for his site and other outlets, it presents a professional image and a memorable visual reminder of his company.
And if he unexpectedly finds himself with an opportunity to land some angel funding, he can instead hand it right over to the big whale. "Oh, it's a standard promotional item that we give out to our clients," he could explain. "My accountant keeps telling me that if I don't create some new expenses to offset our insanely high quarterly profits, the Government will think we're selling meth or something."

Buddy’s morning routine is to bug me until I get up and give him and the other cats their morning treats. (One cat gets medicine wrapped up in a treat, so all of the others have to have treats too.) Then he wants outside RIGHT NOW! Five minutes later he is sitting in the window wanting back in. His ears are laid back because he's peeved at me for taking pictures instead of letting him in. He usually eats breakfast and then wants back out, back in, back out, back in….all day.

Born to parents who work as circus troupe performers in Yangon, they are the first from Myanmar to learn acrobatics in a foreign land.
