Just for appreciation, twent five minutes before, there were many more snowy egrets and other birds perched on the naked tree (of the photo already uploaded), and they were focused on the feather cleaning routine.
It is not a good close-up, due to the limitation of the lens used and the photographer. ;))

For the driver, it was another morning working routine with other vacationers.
Occasionally he made a monotonous comment to which we paid no attention.
Upon entering the square the tower appeared.
Everything changed.

The Golden Gate bridge is packed almost all the time. This is on a Saturday late afternoon, with the sun low on the horizon. It was kind of hazy, the reason for the fading colors on the second pillar.
I took a portrait photo of the bridge at 210mm (315mm equiv) tele-zoom, but cropped the photo to landscape to draw attention to the traffic. I think a good photo tells a story. In this one I try to convey the daily routine of commuting.
I processed a single exposure into a soft HDR photo.

The last weeks my daily routine, when the weather allows it, is having lunch on the terrace, and by the windowsill between the living room and the terrace I have some plants and this candle....HMM flickers!! :)
Like everyone we have a routine and pretty much every weekend is the same. We wake up, we walk and most mornings I take Critter walking early, then we come home and get Squrity and the Tabby boys and then we will probably go again for a quick mess around in the shed or something.
Now each time we get back home Critter thinks he needs to be fed and of course I think he needs to as well, so have created a bad habit of feeding him every time we get back from being outside.
What you have to remember that those three walks all happen before 10am, so he wakes up and has breakfast and then has another two to three breakfasts before he settles in for his daily nap.....
Yes I know, I have created this problem.....for the most part I think it's hilarious but now having 3 more mouths to feed and them all thinking they need to eat after every excursion makes me rethink how many walks I actually want to take them on hehehehehe
For me this was the cutest cottage of all the Eifel region number 10 the Röhren Haus originally built in 1522.
Röhren is a very inhospitable place on the moors of the Belgium-German border and a hard place to scratch out a living in the 16th century, the region was particularly unsuited to agriculture so people had to find scarce suitable land and even then it was a struggle to make it produce.
The cattle had no real pastures or meadows to graze in and were routinely chased into the woods to scavenge whatever they could find.
Necessity being the mother of all invention and skill for that matter means that the High Fen people were particularly good at breeding, raising, butchering and curing all kinds of livestock.
The inside of this cottage is laid out so that the main room and fire shared with a side stable and you truly were in touch with your food, the steep long roof line was to deflect the rather cruel wind that is constant in the winter on the moors.
I took this with my D750 and Tamron SP 24-70mm 2.8 G2 Lens at 35mm 1/6, f/5.6 ISO 100 processed in LR, Topaz Denoise, PS (Lumenzia curves masks and DXO Nik Color Efex)
Disclaimer: Not trying to be realistic in my editing there is enough realism in the world, my style is a mix of painterly and romanticism as well as a work in progress.
Most evenings Pascha spends on the sofa apart from sitting on my lap when I watch a TV movie.
Meistens verbringt Pascha die Abende auf dem Sofa (und macht seinem Namen alle Ehre!), ausser wenn ich einen TV-Film anschaue, dann kommt er auf meinen Schoss/Beine.
