In the morning, the cats wait until I'm ready to go downstairs with them. They could go alone, but they don't want to. So they watch me and sometimes even meow at me because it takes them too long.
I love our morning ritual.
I take the cats on about 3 morning walks and one afternoon walk but today as our days are getting longer I decided to take the boys for an afternoon stroll to watch the sun go down but as you can see Charlie was ready for bed as usually by this time he is inside sucking on his blanket before he falls asleep for the night.
Nothing like having a routine.... ;)
. . . involves preparing three square meals a day, even though I'd rather be behind my camera. As I was preparing BLT sandwiches for lunch today - the Macro Mondays theme "My Daily Routine" popped into my head, so I stopped everything to take a few shots.

I was glad to see that Brain Pickings was referenced in the description for this week's theme on Macro Mondays. I read it on Feedly which is also part of my daily routine. I like it because I can subscribe to the news I want and also subscribe to various blogs. Brain Pickings does an excellent job of highlighting very interesting philosophies.
One of my all-time favorite posts from Brain Pickings was about Bruce Lee/Be Water, My Friend. Such a great story. There is a clip from the Longstreet episode in the post, but this clip at about 6:50 puts it in some context.
I also love Shannon Lee's podcasts The Bruce Lee Podcast about her father's life and philosophies. Since it's weekly, it's definitely part of my weekly routine.

When Pepper work me up thursday morning, I tried to take his photo with the iPhone in the dark but it didn't work - he turned away from the flash before the shot was taken. Since I was up a bit early already, I got up, turned on the light and "went back to bed" (still with the iPhone), allowing me to capture what I see when he starts up with the loud purrs and tickling my face with his whiskers. Those are long whiskers. They really tickle. He also doesn't know what is a weekend vs. a weekday. At least one of the good things about the shortening days after the summer solstice is, I get a few more winks of sleep as every sunrise edges a bit later. Um, this is Happy Caturday 29 August 2020, Morning Routine.

I'd lost touch with the website, and I feel delighted to find it now. I didn't enter this, because it might not look like enough of a macro to enter. I reshot another macro.

On a rainy spring day this elongated barn has structural reminders of the twice daily routine for a farmer and his offspring. Milk house, stanchions and shed for calves, all three lined up and stretched out. Anyone who grew up on a farm soon learned that farm work involved doing many of the same things over and over again.
