That place between sleep and awake --- thats my DayDream ♥
This may be my favorite location in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. This often photographed rounded cascade is located in the Tremont section of the Park. To get this particular composition you have to perch yourself on a boulder, which you see in the foreground and get into a very low position.
My friend and I had been waiting to visit the Park until we felt the colors would be right. We hit it pretty close, perhaps being just a bit later than the peak but the colors were still great. This particular photo was taken very near to sunset so the light was very good. So overall, I'm pretty happy with the end result and I hope you enjoy it yourself.

The Heald woods, on the western shore of Lake Windermere. I am keeping a promise to do more low level walks after completing the munro’s. We arrived just in time to catch the early morning sunlight breaking through

Round houses in the garden and resort Paraiso de avedad , Philippines
We had the opportunity to visit Paraiso de Avedad near San Pablo city, and I must say, it left me utterly captivated. The resort effortlessly weaves together the splendor of nature and gardens, the allure of history, and the magnificence of architectural design. Surrounded by lush landscapes and breathtaking vistas, the resort truly lives up to its name as a paradise. At this moment in time it is a beautiful day-resort and a restaurant with delicious food. The possibility to stay overnight is not yet possible for outsiders in this wonderful and peaceful community with friendly people.
The resort's rich history is felt in every nook and cranny, with relics and artifacts that tell tales of a bygone era. As I wandered through the pathways lined with ancient trees, I couldn't help but feel a profound connection to the past and with nature. The architectural design seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements, creating a harmonious ambiance that's both regal and inviting.

Round - Looking Closely on Friday
Hancock Shaker Village, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, MA, New England, the Berkshires, autumn, fall, hay, round barn, iPhoneography, Hipstamatic, HipstaPrint.
In my years of wandering the beaches, I’ve seen many drawings in the sand. Names, hearts, stick figures, cryptic designs, and obscene words. One thing I have never seen is a rectangle.
When we travel to the healing sand, the old become children again. The cynical become mystics. The depressed become joyful. The sedentary begin to move. The lost find themselves again. Endings find their beginnings.
The impermanent open space by the sea teases out the roundness of life in all of us.
