The Round Tower or Rundetaarn in Copenhagen was built in 1642 as an Observatory. It is 42 metres tall and there are only a few stairs at the top, the rest is accessed by this spiralling cobbled walkway. The light is stunning and it seems that even in the C17th the Danes knew how to do effortlessly stylish minimalism.

I did manage to sneak out for a few hours at the weekend to photography this amazing staircase. I have three weeks off in August so should have a bit more time then to get round to you all.

Spent part of the afternoon capturing some dramatic clouded skies scenes.
This little nugget found a nugget to munch on. This is a baby round-tailed squirrel. It had two other siblings and momma nearby. They were just so dang cute. I had to watch them for a while. A shot I posted with one pestering momma in the comments.

Happy Spring PolaroidWeek 2016!
Day 1
The most wonderful time of the year! And it comes twice a year! :)
However, it's a very busy week for me so I'll apologize in advance for not being able to keep up with the pool and all the goings on this Polaroid Week. I will certainly check it all out next week when I'll have loads of time. Looking forward to seeing all the inspiring work in the pool!
Happiest of 'Roid Weeks to you all!
Stars really are my first love in photography and it dawned on me recently that I havent even shot a startrail with my Camera since I upgraded it over a year ago. I used to use an external intervalometer which is no longer needed and I can also switch long term noise reduction off with this model so i wanted to test it out with these new features. It was -2 in the garden with not a breath of wind.... once the camera was setup I went back inside the house and left it to work away. I stay in a registered dark sky area so the stars were bright and plentiful..... so bright in fact that this was shot at ISO 400. I was quite pleased with the results, Now that I know the camera can handle startrailing with even more ease than my old one, who knows what creative foreground compositions I will find.
