Memories of Copenhagen - a beautiful town I fell in love with ;))
The circular Rundetårn (Rundetaarn / Danish for round tower) is a tower in the centre of Copenhagen, which served as a observatory of the University of Copenhagen until 1861.
It has a diameter of about 15 m and a height of 34.8 m. Apart from the last few metres, it is not climbed by stairs, but by a 209 m long spiral corridor that winds around the centre of the tower in seven and a half full turns.
This equestrian staircase made it possible to deliver books, instruments and the like by horse and carriage.
And it is said that the king he went up there comfortably by carriage, too :)

Der kreisrunde Rundetårn (Rundetaarn /dänisch für Runder Turm) ist ein Turm im Stadtzentrum Kopenhagens, der bis 1861 als Observatorium der Universität Kopenhagen diente. Er besitzt einen Durchmesser von etwa 15 m und eine Höhe von 34,8 m. Bestiegen wird er, abgesehen von den letzten Metern, nicht über Treppen, sondern über einen 209 m langen, spiralförmigen Gang, der sich in siebeneinhalb vollen Drehungen um die Turmmitte windet. Diese Reittreppe ermöglichte es, Bücher, Instrumente und dergleichen per Pferdewagen anzuliefern.
Und es ist überliefert, dass König Christian IV. sich hat mit der Kutsche nach oben fahren lassen (ganz bequem - bis auf die letzten Stufen ;))
The last round ... of mushrooms - for the time being. I saw lots of mushrooms and fungi on my walk through the Merkenvelde wood. These were growing in a circle round a hole in a tree trunk, and I particularly liked the white ones!
I don't think I'm ever going to better the conditions I had the first time I went up to shoot the Boxing Gloves on Kinder Northern Edges. This time it rained for 6 of the 9 miles I was out 😁 The walk wasn't without drama. I narrowly escaped being attacked by an owl when ambling along, minding my owl business on the footpath back to the car. Only some vigourous flapping of my arms persuaded it to change course 😂
P.s. some clown knocked the OIS off on my lens. Please excuse the slight lack of sharpness!

圈圈遊戲 - 瓊妮米契爾
昨天一位小孩來到世間溜達
抓了隻蜻蜓裝進瓶子裡
天上轟隆隆的雷聲把他嚇壞
看到星星墜落又使他淚漣漣
春夏秋冬不停輪流交替
色彩繽紛的木馬上下跳躍
我們被圍困在時間的旋轉木馬
我們回不去了，只能轉身
遠望來時的方向
在這圈圈遊戲裡不斷地
轉呀，轉呀，轉……
之後幾年間這孩子搬了十次家
在十個結凍的清澈小溪上溜冰
類似“等你長大些”的話一定可以安撫他
對未來的期許築起了他的夢
如今十六個寒暑已經過去
鎮上的馬車變成了汽車
他們告訴他說：
「別急，等到你拖著腳步想讓圈圈減速時，
那天就離現在不遠了。」
時間就這樣流逝，現在男孩二十歲了
雖然在實現過程中他的夢變得黯淡
但是在最後一輪年歲結束之前
還有更新，或許更好更多的夢在等著他

This is part of the Albion Riverside building located on the River Thames between the Albert Bridge and Battersea Bridge. The building is rounded from street level to the top of the structure. I get heavy moire when I look at this on my computer screen so apologies if it messes with your eyeballs!

The Round Room is a beautiful room modeled after the Pantheon, in fact, it has quite the same vault (with a smaller dimension). The floor is decorated with a colorful roman mosaic, once part of an ancient villa. The red wall is adorned with small niches, each of them containing marble colossal statues.
Whatsmore, at the very center of this Rond Room, you will find a red porphyry basin that Emperor Nero used to use as a bathtub.

Het is een dynamisch centrum dat glas wil promoten in al zijn facetten en zich toespitst op alle verschijnings- en gebruiksvormen: Glas in het dagdagelijkse gebruik, glas in design, glas doorheen de geschiedenis, glas in de toekomst, glas binnen de hedendaagse kunst. Vooral dit laatste ‘glas als artistiek medium’ een plaats geven binnen de hedendaagse kunst is één van onze voornaamste doelstellingen.
Het GlazenHuis laat zien dat glas kan zijn wat het wil zijn: object of schilderij, brons of edelsteen, kunst of design, uniek of alledaags, kleurrijk of onzichtbaar.
ARCHITECTUUR
Een glazen kegel met een hoogte van 30 meter torent op bijna doorzichtige wijze uit boven het stadscentrum van Lommel. ’s Avonds is de verlichte kegel een lichtbaken in de avondlucht. Een 6 meter hoge glazen doos en een ondergrondse verdieping herbergen rond de kegel expositieruimtes op drie niveaus. De expositieruimte op de benedenverdieping en op het gelijkvloers staan in direct contact met het glasatelier.
Met het GlazenHuis concipieerde architect Philippe Samyn een stevig statement: een gebouw met een extraverte persoonlijkheid, een gebouw waarin ruimtelijke beleving, de kunst en haar productie in symbiose met elkaar leven en een onlosmakelijk geheel vormen.

And here I am back at work.... ugh. On a perfect summer day.... followed by a perfect summer night... perfect for.... riding the ferris wheel!! (Ok... technically, it's not officially summer... but the temps say otherwise!)

Non si tratta di un fenomeno visibile a occhio nudo,
ma piuttosto di un evento piuttosto raro causato dalle differenze fra calendario lunare e gregoriano.
Si chiama infatti “Luna blu” il secondo plenilunio che avviene all’interno di un mese del calendario gregoriano che solitamente ne contiene una sola.
Questo perché i mesi calcolati in base alla rotazione del sole sono composti da 30 o 31 giorni mentre la luna ce ne mette 29 e mezzo per compiere un giro completo.
Lo sfasamento comporta che una volta ogni due o tre anni un mese “solare” contenga due pleniluni.
Il primo plenilunio di questo mese si è verificato il 2 luglio. L’ultima “Luna blu” si era invece verificata il 31 agosto 2012, mentre le due prossime “Lune blue” si verificheranno a due mesi di distanza,rispettivamente il 31 gennaio e il 31 marzo 2018.
