Das 360° Panorama wurde erstellt mit einem Dreibeinstativ und einem provisorischen Nodaladapter aus 3 horizontalen plus 1 Nadiraufnahme 8 mm Fischaugenaufnahmen mit Hugin. Die Nadiraufnahme wurde "ohne" Stativ erstellt.

Designed by Oliver Hill in the mid-1930s, this remarkable Grade II-listed four-bedroom Modernist house is the most architecturally significant building on the Frinton Park Estate, and has a privileged location on the seafront.
As its name suggests, the house is entirely circular, with 1,923 sq ft of internal accommodation over two floors with a flat roof and a wrap-around garden. It is set back from the road, and accessed via an Art Deco gate and a lawn. Upon entering, there is a large entrance hall on the ground floor, which leads to a curved dining room at the front overlooking the sea. At the rear is a reception room (which was formerly a bedroom), and there is a separate kitchen with secondary access to the garden and the street, a bathroom, a study and a utility room. A wonderfully grand S-shaped staircase leads to the first floor, which has three bedrooms, a shower room with a double-sized cubicle, and a sitting room across the front of the house with spectacular views. There is also a garage.
Developed from 1934 onwards, the Frinton Park Estate was intended to be Britain’s most ambitious housing settlement, with the country’s leading young architects (including Wells Coates, Frederick Gibberd and Connell, Ward & Lucas) invited to contribute. In the end, only a small fraction was built, but it remains the largest grouping of Modern Movement houses anywhere in the UK.
The Round House was the first to be built and was the focal point for the estate. It would exhibit products approved by Hill as well as photographs of modern houses from the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA); it also acted as the office for records and sales. The mosaic plan on the floor was designed by Clifford Ellis. According to English Heritage, “Despite the recent replacement of the glazing, the building remains a strong architectural statement with the striking use of the circular plan, projecting ‘skirt’ and the position of the building as a focal point of the model estate.” - details from themodernhouse.com
I was bored it was 40 and raining so I found some round stuff to photograph. I've had Photoshop one day so this is my first project to try and learn Photoshop CS5.
Located near Ballyduff is Rattoo round tower.The tower reaches a height of 28mts, with a base circumference of 15mts. It is claimed to have been founded by the Bishop Lughach, one of the first Christian Evangelists in Kerry. Built around 1100, it is exceptionally well-preserved, although the roof has been restored. Its doorway has a round arch, and is surrounded by a plain, flat carved moulding capped with an unusual curvilinear design. A sheela-na-gig is carved on the north window, facing into the inside of the tower.
Not as long as last nights shot, but the moon was a bit too bright tonight. Thus the glow on the right.
Some how i seem to be attracted by buildings that are round especially with windows placed in the same direction. For example a simular shot here. Shot somewhere in a huge abandoned university.
Kaiten-zushi is a sushi restaurant where the plates with the sushi are placed on a rotating conveyor belt that winds through the restaurant and moves past every table and counter seat. Customers may place special orders, but most simply pick their selections from a steady stream of fresh sushi moving along the conveyor belt. The final bill is based on the number and type of plates of the consumed sushi. Some restaurants use a fancier presentation such as miniature wooden "sushi boats" traveling small canals or miniature locomotive cars.

The old Fort Dunlop, in Birmingham, England, has recently been transformed from a Tyre Factory, to a mixed office/retail/hotel complex !

My first attempt at shooting the moon with the Russian made 3M-5CA mirror lens. No crop, 2000mm effective (500mm lens + 2x Teleconverter + 2x CF.)
Loco's from the Severn Valley Railway have just passed over the level crossing in Burcott Road Hereford on 25-2-83
GWR Hall class 4930 'Hagley Hall' brings up the rear as they head towards Bulmers Steam Centre
The next day the loco's would be involved in a Welsh Marches Pullman
The other two locos are BR 2-6-4T 4MT 80079 and LMS 2-6-0 Mogul 4MT 43106

This historic Round Barn was built by Benton Steele in 1910, has a masonry basement and was built around a masonry silo, and sits outside Derby, KS. It is being restored at present to become a convention hall, and has it's own web site. Pictures of this barn are in many books. The owner was very open to allowing me to take pictures.
