This is a week of milestones. Yesterday, my son graduated from school. My daughter received her university diploma in the mail (she didn't want to go to her convocation) and my father is moving to a retirement residence tomorrow.

I spent the day packing, sorting and getting ready... and collecting the key to his apartment. He's up on the 7th floor and has a nice west-facing view. He's not really thrilled with having to make this move, but he can't live alone anymore, so here we are.

Undoubtedly the best view I saw from my hotel bedroom window and the day before departure….although I didn’t know it then. Rain pouring onto the hills to the south and it set the tone for the whole day and was unfortunately my only shot of the day.

Our view from our hotel room balcony, great to go on holiday after two years corona. May 27, 2022

Just a few minutes before sunrise over Toronto city hall.

No complaints about the view from my hotel room last week.

Smile On Saturday-Room With A View!

Took this out the Breezeway door window. :)

On 11/10/11 we went to Newport, RI to begin a special celebration which took place on 11/11/11.

This was the view that first evening from our room!

I'll be sharing images as time permits.

(Have an on-line course this week.)

Stay tuned!

This was the view from our hotel room in Balestrand, Norway which is situated on the mighty Sognefjord. The little speck on the horizon is a ferry boat, it gives some scale to how massive the mountains of the fjord are. For 116 pictures in 2016: no. 76 A room with a view. (We stayed at the Balestrand Hotel).

Still posting old stuff until new adventures arise.

This was Brighton days before Europe went into Covid lockdown. We stayed in an deserted The Grand and got a free upgrade to a huge sea view suite.

A view from the formal garden at Broughton Castle of the less formal.

The sight was simply beyond words and it looked so peaceful from inside the room.

There were long lines of people waiting to enter the temple and this particular room was PACKED with visitors, and it was so crowded that there was even an administrator inside the room monitoring the crowds and making sure that no one was allowed to take pictures for more than just a few minutes. It was all worth it in the end.

I think this may just take my award for "room with a view" for this month! A massive plate glass window looking across Strathspey and on to the snow clad Carn a Ghille Chearr which cuts Stathspey off from Glen Avon.

Evening view from the terrace of our hotel room at "De Blanke Top" in Cadzand around 8:00 pm. We've been enjoying a few days of lovely summer weather, but tomorrow's forecast predicts rain in the morning and unsettled weather in the afternoon. Maybe not the ideal weather to take our grandchildren to the beach, but the changing weather was announced with a beautiful and dramatic sky and intense, saturated colors - Cadzand, Zeeland, Netherlands

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

My youngest daughter wanted to know how camera obscura works... so we did it together, and she was not disappointed :-)

Evening view from our hotel room terrace at "De Blanke Top" in Cadzand around 8:00 PM on a July evening. We had enjoyed a few days of lovely summer weather, but the forecast for the next day predicted rain in the morning and unsettled weather in the afternoon. The changing weather had been hinted at the night before with a beautifully dramatic sky and intense dark colors. – Cadzand, Zeeland, Netherlands.

The Sydney Ferries Daily Derby

You join us as we enter the closing nautical quarter of the 16:00 o’clock handicap Sydney Derby.

It’s looking like a clear winner for Victor Chang over Fred Hollows for first and second.

Third is not so clear cut with Clontarf making a late surge on the outside from Freshwater who’s tiring... it could be a photo finish!

And at the terminal its first to Victor Chang, followed home by Fred Hollows in second. Clontarf late surge secures third and it’s a valiant fourth for Freshwater.
