I've been digging through my hard drive and came up with these pictures from my first visit to Rome in 2005. They were taken on film and scanned so the quality is not up to modern day standards.
I had initially overlooked them, but looking at them with a fresh eye made me realise how long I have been taking street photo's.
Really needing no introduction, our foreground is dominated by the famous Colosseum, that big bad boy is sharing the morning light with The Temple of Venus and Roma in the background.
Thought to have been the largest temple in Ancient Rome it is located on the Velian Hill, between the eastern edge of the Forum Romanum and the Colosseum, it was dedicated to the goddesses Venus Felix ("Venus the Bringer of Good Fortune") and Roma Aeterna ("Eternal Rome").
