Trip To Rome Earlier In The Year

Rome / May 2018 / Iphone6

OK, some might say I take many pictures of Rome, but you know the saying? All roads lead to Rome... As it is one of the #OlympicCities there is another excuse to show the city again. A night picture and a day picture. Fittingly the Stadio Olympico really stands out.

I had a great night pass over Rome, but this cloud got in the way. Oh well, I kind of like the effects of the city lights backlighting them… OK, some might say I take many pictures of Rome, but you know the saying? All roads lead to Rome... As it is one of the #OlympicCities there is another excuse to show the city again. A night picture and a day picture. Fittingly the Stadio Olympico really stands out.

The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an oval amphitheatre in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of travertine, tuff, and brick-faced concrete, it is the largest amphitheatre ever built (Wiki).

I've been digging through my hard drive and came up with these pictures from my first visit to Rome in 2005. They were taken on film and scanned so the quality is not up to modern day standards.

I had initially overlooked them, but looking at them with a fresh eye made me realise how long I have been taking street photo's.
