CARMA (Combined Array for Research in Millimeter-wave Astronomy) In the Inyo Mountains of California has closed down. The dishes are being relocated back to the Owens Valley Radio Observatory near Big Pine Ca.
A flash illuminated the foreground dish with my pal Jim at an angle in this 20 second exposure with a Canon 7D MKII and 600EX speedlight and Rokinon 16mm f2 @f2.
It was my niece's wedding last Saturday. They had it at an old theater that someone has recently started to restore.
I messed up... l switched my camera to continuous mode accidentally and had a bunch of out of focus shots from focusing and recomposing. Worse was all the under-exposed images. I really wanted to get some of the ambient light in, but it was frickin' dark! Then I only got two shots of the bride walking down the aisle...
I don't think I'm cut out for weddings, lol.
A herd of deer was nearby watching me. :) They were better company than all the cars that kept ruining my first shots. There's a lot less traffic and light pollution closer to my home. And a lot more power lines obstructing the view.

This amazing steel and bamboo tunnel takes visitors to the Dos Lagos shopping center in Corona, California on a tour around a large and beautiful man-made lake structure with rushing waterfalls, ducks, and an amphitheater. It's an amazing architectural design and feat of construction.
Venus is part of a collection designed by renowned artist Lawrence Argent, and is his personal interpretation of the iconic Greek statue, Venus de Milo.
It arrived in San Francisco in 70 pieces. Then it was welded and bolted into 11 stacks, placed on top of each other.
