Not a flattering picture of my wife, but Piper looks self-satisfied and kind of cute, and Iris was kind enough to allow me to post the photo. Low light photography!
Getting this close to the top of the London Eye from the Westminster bridge would not have been possible until I invested in a ROKINON 500mm F/8 Lens. The mirror Lens has to be the smartest purchase to make for anyone on a limited budget at about a tenth the cost of an optical lens.
Shot with a Nikon D780 and a Rokinon 14mm F/2.8. Aperture is fully open at ISO3200 6s.
A half-moon significantly washed out the aurora. The city sky glow combined with the moon light resulted in an exposure gradient across the frame; this was normalized in processing however it contributed to the noise on the left side.

893 frames shot at a 7 second interval, and rendered at 30FPS. This results in playback that is 210x faster than real time.
'mund at the Market.
One of our coworkers from the Philippines, Ginoo 'mund as I call him, was in town. In the bunch of hours before his flights back to the home country, 'we' dragged him around some of the traps of Boston, and of course Faneuil Hall was in the picture. Fisheye here... note the people sitting in the roundish balcony above. Slightly cropped for a somewhat symmetrical appearance.
