Went up for a scouting trip to check out the autumn colours in Mt Wilson. While the colours aren't peaking, there are trees in the area that have changed colour. This was an example of the oranges you would expect to see on a trip up to Mt Wilson, which is a little village about 8km off the Bells Line of Road in the Blue Mountains. Shot wide open with Rokinon 85mm f1.4

Early morning at work. The clouds were bulky and not scattered enough, but it was the time to test my method for putting ND filters into the manual Rokinon 8mm fisheye lens. It worked! It needs special care and handling however, but it did work just fine. Probably I should add to my gear some utensils to handle the gel filters without touching them because some of the images taken this morning were a bit fuzzy because of, as it seems, my finger prints on the gel slides!

Here is a test shot from my new ROKINON 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye lens. It's fully manual but its a lot of fun to work with.
Here's where I went hiking yesterday. In the comments are some photos from the day before. The valley was full of deer and elk. I watched several herds of deer dash across a field to take cover on a hillside.

Though we're still under an extreme drought, Isaac brought enough rain to grow a few little golf ball sized mushrooms.
The title refers to one of my favorite shows as a kid. Lost in Space was another. If you remember those shows you might be old like me, or perhaps the stories were passed down to you from your elders ;)
