Being in lockdown again at least allows time to get a portrait with the newest addition to the family.

Another change to this model? Yes! Subtle, but I feel it was worthwhile to modify some small details.

Sometimes a bit of hope, faith, or bravery can help ordinary people stand up against impossible odds.
This image is intended to be representative of a climactic scene in Rogue One, stripped down to its simplest parts. A confrontation between an unarmed man and well-trained soldiers, with the fate of an entire galaxy hanging in the balance.
Lens: EF50mm F/1.8 STM
Lighting: 2x Aperlite 700C flash units

I may not have liked Rogue One very much, but do I like this set? I guess we'll find out on BZPower soon!

! Minifig scale !
The Death Star Overbridge can be seen on-screen both in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977) as well as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016). It serves as the main Control Room for the Superlaser inside the first Death Star.
The MOC features two command center duty posts, the angled hexagon-shaped window/screen which acts as the center of the bridge, Imperial Light-panels on the walls, the bridge entrance, accurate wall patterns and detailing throughout the overbridge.
The built-in hinge-mechanism allows you to get better access to the Overbridge.
The MOC contains a total of 2415 pieces.
Furthermore, this MOC can be extended using my own Death Star Control Room, Conference Room and Security Command Center, which Instructions are also available in my webstore.

My Midi-Scale TIE collection expands again with a new TIE starfighter: the TIE Striker from Rogue One.
Made of 730 pieces, this TIE Striker features a fully SNOT surface, a smooth cockpit section, and includes blaster cannons below the cockpit. Design-wise, this ship really felt like a natural continuation of my previous TIE Reaper MOC.
Although being almost Minifig-scaled, (hence the Midi-scale) this ship obviously doesn't have any interior due to the techniques used and small space allowed for the internal structure.
Due to the front-heavy nature of the design, a rather long (but very simple) stand had to be made in order for the ship to remain perfectly steady and horizontal.
The overall build is pleasantly sturdy for a display model and can be moved around easily.
Instructions for the TIE Striker are available at Rebrickable!
I can't take credit for this shot. I was sorting LEGO bricks by color when I looked into my light grey bin and saw what is pictured above. I grabbed my camera, took a shot and here is the result.
Can't wait to finally see Rogue One this week!
Thanks for looking and may the force be with you.
Rogue One is one of my favorite SW movie. And one of the reason I love it is the design of the ships.
They don't simply dig out old concept art from McQuarrie, they create new ones which fits perfectly in the SW universe.
So naturally I needed them in my collection, 75155 is cool, and with a little mod it's awesome but it require UCS level design.
And here's the result.
Parts : 3006
Dimension : 86 x 30 x 14 cm (closed wings)
Dimension : 79 x 110 x 14 cm (open wings)
As always it's the first version, I need to build it and make sure it work before releasing the files (for free of course).
I'm not convinced by the color scheme of the 75155, I think blue and yellow give a flashy and new look. I used dark blue and tan and avoided giving to much details to keep a sleek look.
I still need to build the landing gear and adapt a seat for K2.
There's no locking system for the Wings right now.
The blue squadron color scheme should follow.
The Main Control Room is directly connected to the Side Corridor, Curved Hallway and Viewport that leads to the outer railing

I really wanted to do a repaint of the U-Wing. Small spoiler warning, but this is the U-Wing that appears on Scarif (it appears in a few trailers, though it's hard to tell). You can't see it here, but Bistan is manning the side gun, as is necessary.

This is from Legoland Germany in Günzburg Bavaria 2017. The MOC was build by Thrawn from imperiumdersteine IDS.
This was a take on the opening scene of Star Wars. This image is part of a larger collection. If you'd like to see the whole series, check out my Star Wars gallery from my website (too many to show here).
This is yet another small build for the Brickset 2017 Star wars Competition, and this one is the Rebel base on Yavin 4. The original inspiration for this was the U-wing, and I don’t know why, but what got me started for that was the blue rubber bands, and the idea to use those for the blue stripes on the wings. They were the only things that would make a stripe thin enough, and they work perfectly! The rest of the base isn’t that exciting, but I did try and put some little rebel pilots on the landing platform, and they are just made out of a couple studs each. In the end, I think it turned out okay, but not great. The U-wing looks good, but the base itself to me looks pretty mediocre. Either way, I would appreciate if you would follow me, and as always please comment and like!

I love this ugly beast, it was surprisingly tricky to get the cockpit and wing hinges right but I loved every minute I spent tinkering. The wings fold and the cargo pod is removable, white sand and azure coastline not included! Instructions are on Rebrickable... rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-67227/ron_mcphatty/micro-zeta-cl...

Continuing with my series of Lego Star Wars photography, it was lighted with one light from below. The smoke, the little lights in the armor and, of course, the lightsaber are made with photoshop.
The rebel ship that appears in ROTJ and will soon appear in Rogue One. To-scale with my other craft, of course.
Built for the third round of the Imperium der Steine MOC Olympics. The theme for this round was to build something from the upcoming Star Wars movie Rogue One.
My most anticipated character in Rogue One is Chirrut Îmwe. A blind dude beating up Stormtroopers with nothing but a stick, what's not to like? I also really like his costume, so I thought it would be cool to try and build him. He's only featured in one scene in the first trailer, so I decided to also build some Stormtroopers at the same scale, and build that scene. I actually built the Stormtroopers first, as I thought they would be the hardest to pull off. But I am quite pleased with how both they and Chirrut turned out.
Once again, I have tried to use some forced perspective to give the scene depth, and make it look like a screenshot from the movie. It was a bit hard to figure out all the scenery from the little material that is available, so some artistic freedom has been taken ;) One of the hardest parts was creating that crashed X-wing, that is hardly even visible in the picture.

The reactor are actually lower than the main part, so a stand is needed. I will try to create a UCS-like stand later.
