This is actually a 'fake' boat house which was used to disguise a large signal light hidden behind the front doors.

Entrance to the Lower Battery. Fort Rodd Hill is a historical site located in Colwood, near Victoria, B.C.

It was built in 1878 as a fortress to guard Victoria and Esquimalt harbour.
