Notice the defensive slits in the wall. This fort dates back some time and was expected to be able to defend itself from any land attacks.
Fort Rodd Hill is a historical site located in Colwood, near Victoria, B.C.
It was built in 1878 as a fortress to guard Victoria and Esquimalt harbour. This is a picture of the entrance to the upper battery. Main old Oak trees grow on the grounds.
