During September we visited Northern Italy, the Piedmont district. From Milan, Turin and other small villages around Piedmont wine district.

Lower Battery Guardhouse

 

Fort Rodd Hill was built in the 1890's as a coastal defense fort, especially to protect Esquimalt Naval Base on Vancouver Island. Today it is operated by Parks Canada.

A couple of days ago while driving to work I was greeted by a brilliant sunrise. A little disappointed I only had my smart phone with me, but hopefully I will learn from my mistakes!
