i don't post many pictures of the inside of my place, but i should. i really love it.

Fanning, Missouri, about four miles west of Cuba, on County Road ZZ, which is Historic Route 66.

Above in the small rocking chair is Flat Bobby; he is the experiment of a second grade class. They are trying to see how far around the world he will go by Feb. 10th and low and behold, he has made here to Nebraska.

Not finished yet, but I did make the curtains.* I love this little corner, it's very peaceful. When you sit in the chair you can look out the window or just enjoy the light. I need to reupholster the chair, because the blue is too dark and worn. I'm thinking yellow.. will it happen before the baby comes though? No idea.

*Tessa, note how i solved the dilemma of the rod not being able to be installed above the window frame.. just made a fringe on top of the curtain so it would cover it. I know, I am amay-zing!

Is it just me, or is putting a headless baby model in a pink dress next to an empty rocking chair something bordering on a macabre art statement? I'm not sure that's what Macy's intended

I'm so sorry this antique store closed. It was always such a fascinating place to visit. I bought several vintage cameras there and a few other things, but there was so much more that I wish I could have afforded it, but I at least have some photos.
