Red-Bud

I will go, I said, to the country

When the red-bud blooms in the spring

And then, as of old, for sheer rapture

My heart will sing.

The red-bud rosily blossomed

In valley and hill and plain,

And yet my heart could not banish

Its sense of pain.

In this video I will review the new 2013 Mac Mini as well as show you how to upgrade the memory on the device. As an added tip I show you in the video how to add multiple monitors to the mac mini. All the links to this review are at www.aramistech.com/2013-mac-mini-review/

A narrow tunnel at the inner end of the deep horseshoe allows you to escape to the other side. This Red Mangrove Island was formed when it was used as a quarry for the mud needed to support the infrastructure of the Flagler Railroad.

The deep water surrounding the mangroves has a fierce current and serves as a fishing spot in the middle of the surrounding sea grass flats.

We stopped here on the way back from Shell Key and poked around under the undercut ledges, but an impending storm cut down on play time and we had to quit exploring.

About a week ago I decided to share my cup of coffee with my bluetooth imac keyboard.

At first it worked & I was overjoyed. Slowly, though, the buttons started not working and then it just died.

I used The Chicken's USB keyboard for a bit to get me by and I went to the Apple store to get a new keyboard, only they don't make bluetooth keyboards for imacs anymore with the 10 key (numbers) I need the ten key.

So after going to a couple of different places I found this at Best Buy. The guy called his Apple Rep to make sure it would sync with my imac since it didn't say it on the box, it was on sale & it came with a bonus mouse that hubs can use on his new laptop.

I love my new rocketfish keyboard <3

The ever loved, ever famous, entrance into Adventureland in Disneyland.

This was a three exposure bracket: +1/0/-1.

This was created by using both Photoshop CS5's "merge to HDR" feature which EXCELS in ghost reduction/removal. It was then exported and finalized in Photomatix Pro, Lightroom 3, and lastly again in Photoshop.

Thought I would do some experimenting with some long exposures of the clouds after the sun had went down to get a good sense of movement and motion. And to make it better (and more difficult) there was a lot of wind which caused the trees to move a lot and become blurred.

Today was the second day I set up here. There are 2 ponds on either side of me and I was sitting on this man made dam. They were used as irrigation resivors way back in the early 20's. After many shots of the sunset, I decided to jump in the frame for an HDR.

And I got a new tripod today. A Rocketfish one from Bestbuy. This thing is sweet! Thats what I have my 7D set up on. Its about 6 inches off the ground.

Well, enjoy!

I was going to go backpacking to visit the Tubal Cain Mine, Buckhorn Lake and Pass, as well as the plane wreck on the trail but due to chances of thunderstoms in the area the group had to cancel the hike.

I had packed my backpack and camping gear and was so ready to leave right after work too.

Being bummed about the rescheduled hike, I was getting an itch to head out around 8:15PM when I noticed such a beautiful sunset out my window...

I grabbed the camera and tripod and rushed out driving for destination unknown.

On my way, I decided to stop by Best Buy real quick to see if they had any tripods that I might want to pick up for the hike as the tripod I have right now is wonderful but pretty heavy.

What luck, I found a nice light carbon tripod by Rocketfish for $39 bucks! It was a returned tripod but it looked good and the weight is a mere 2.89 pounds!

Feeling good about the purchase, I felt a hankering to visit the Saltwater State Park.

It was closed as the park closes at dusk. I waited outside trying to find a park ranger to see if I could get permission to just shoot some quick long exposures but no one showed up.

I decided to drive down the park as the campsite is open and I figured a park ranger would probably be near.

As soon as I got down towards the campsite, the park ranger appeared and told me I had to leave.

Bummed about getting kicked out, as I was seeing some great lightning from the beach, I decided to head to Redondo as it was near by.

As I was taking some picts and getting ready to take some lightning shots a fellow photog came by with the same idea. He told me that the night before was a lot better for the lightning shots.

As I was getting ready for setup to take the shots of the lightning, I realized I didn't bring my shutter release cord as it was still packed up in my backback for the hike!!!

I set it up for mirror up mode and hoped for the best. I got some decent picts but a shutter release would have helped me so much more.

Soon after, another photog came by to take shots of the lightning as well. She set hers up to take shots every second which worked for her pretty well, compared to me, where I decided to take long exposure shots of 30 secs as I felt that was a better setting fo me and I could save my card from running out of memmory.

All in all, it was a great night till the rain started and I decided to call it a night.

This cost me $16 at Best Buy and it offers better protection than Apple's $29 bumpers.

Today we walked 4.4km around Cedar Hill Golf Course (CHGC) chiptrail under overcast (ovc) skies. A pleasant 16°C. Crazy, dog-woman's vehicle was there but we did not see her nor hear her foul mouth so knew we were having a good day.

The new rocketfish®, android armband worked quite good considering the phone was covered with a clear plastic bag. Due to the fact smartphones are not waterproof it was decided to cover the unit in case it rained. It was a good test. The only place the phone screwed up was after driving to downtown the phone thought it was still at the golfcourse. At least the GPS sensors did. We took a picture downtown and the GPS coordinates showed us as being at CHGC. Daah!

On a cold, rainy night, the 5A TSSAA State Championship Game was played at Tucker Stadium on the campus of Tennessee Tech University. The game was between the Knoxville West Rebels and the Henry County Patriots with Henry County taking the win and a state championship trophy. Final score...27-28!

By the way...I have to give my daughter, Maddie, some credit for this photo. She was working at the game and took my camera in to snap a few pics for Dad to use in his 365...Thanks Maddie!!

Back when I had my 20D, this is one of the more overlooked photos due to it not being advertised when it came out like all the other work has. The composition was simple. A countertop for the tray of coffee beans. The tray tilted at an angle towards the camera. My brother-in-law, as the hands ", scooping the beans. The lighting: Canon 430EX, hotshoed, with daylight.
