Our weekend trip at Enkaji Osiwo - a gorgeous house situated on the edge of the rift valley, just south of the Ngong Hills. There were herds of zebras blocking the bumpy roads the entire way there, impala prancing along, and Masai herdsman showing up on our doorstep. There wasn't any running water or electricity, but this house made the most perfect spot for an amazing weekend.
Outside of Nairobi, Kenya.
If you spend any time this summer away from city light pollution look for the Great Rift. It's visible most any clear moonless night from the northern hemisphere and appears as a dark lane between the bright starry band of the Milky Way stretching from Cygnus to Sagittarius. The rift is made up of massive dust clouds obscuring some of the brightest parts our Milky Way Galaxy.
This image captures the Great Rift from the Scutum Star Cloud (upper left) to the Great Sagittarius Star Cloud (bottom center). This area is rich with many star clusters and nebulas.

These strange columns in Þingvellir National Park are due to it being a rift valley—this is literally where the Eurasian and North American continental plates are pulling apart from one another.
Þingvellir (pronounced Thingg-veklir) is a motherlode of Icelandic culture, history, and geography. The National Park lies in a rift valley that marks the crest of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, the boundary between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Part of Þingvallavatn, the largest natural lake in Iceland, lies within the park’s boundaries.
Þingvellir was the site of the Alþing, the annual parliament of Iceland from the year 930 until 1798.
The name Þingvellir is derived þing (“thing, assembly”) and vǫllr (“field”), meaning ‘assembly fields’. Compare the English thing and weald (“Thingweald”) from Anglo-Saxon þing and weald.
Þingvellir National Park is popular with tourists and is one of the three key attractions within the famous Golden Circle. Consequently, it can get a little crowded around key hotspots such as the visitor centre and the boardwalks leading to it from the car parks, but with such a vast area and a large number of hiking trails, I found it easy to awat from the crowds and enjoy this stunning natural landscape.

This is how I'll remember the Southwest. Storms and sunbreaks above the Taos Plateau. The Rio Grande Rift.

...xD Is this too lewd? Idk //shot
Anyways, yeah! I recently sewed this little lingerie set for Rift because A) I'm trying to get better at sewing and B) because she has bountiful bosoms that needed to be contained xD
I imagine Rift as the type of character who loves wearing revealing, overtly sexual clothes like lingerie casually so this was sort of a test run for more lingerie and body-hugging clothes for her in the future. They definitely aren't perfect but I think they turned out pretty good for a first try anyways. I'll experiment with making different patterns in the future too~
xD And of course, this isn't the best picture to really see them so i'll upload a more proper sewing barf picture later on, but I just really liked this picture and wanted to share it now hehe~
...xD Also excuse the terrible couch thing she's laying on. It was a random test project I made ages ago and it is pretty awful but hey, at least it serves its purpose of being a place for my dolls to sit anyway //shot
*3* Also need to get her urethane eyes so they'll fit better in her head but asdfghjkl why are minty green, yellow, and orange eyes so hard to find?!? OTL

Rift (girl) is a modded Fairyland Minifee FLAM event head in Beautiful White skin. Faceup, mods, tattoo and flower crown by me.
An older shot from Iceland. Thingvellir National Park sits directly on the fault line separating the European and North American plates and is a site of historical, cultural, and geological significance. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Iceland.
Playing around with my kick from rift labs, got it today. It produces any color you want. Remotely controlled with your phone.
I was incredibly inspired by electricsheep26354 and his custom landscapes, as well as Tamu\'s awesome Alternative Aspen Trees that look much closer to realistic aspens to me. I\'m working on adding a denser aspen forest to the rift along with new green grasses and aspens. I would have to ask lots of peoples permission to share this, so at the moment it\'s WIP. Let me know what you think.
A Perseid Meteorite shooting straight for Torc Mountain! The Great Rift is hard to catch in this part, very close to town and lots of light pollution but still just about got it.
A 1690 m dans les monts du Cantal sur une ligne de crête entre la vallée de la Cère et la vallée de la Jordanne, volcan type rift, sous un soleil d'hiver lumineux.
Another night of sky gazing! The Great Rift barely visible with the lights from town behind the tress.
Trying a few silhouettes recently but off to Prague tomorrow so this is the last for a week from me.
