Reversed 35mm manually stopped down to f/8, 1/180 sec, built-in flash with home made diffuser.
Three shoots focus bracketing, put (roughly) together on Gimp through layer editing and slightly cropped.
Taken in my parents yard. 24mm prime reversed on extension tubes. Hinged hot shoe allows the flash to lean out over the lens stack and a DIY snoot with diffusion.

Johnny - Reverse Vault
Shot with a reversed 24mm on extension tubes. Lit by flash on a hinged hot shoe with a DIY snoot with diffusion.
This evening we got one of those strange reverse sunsets in the east that seem to happen when the setting sun peeks under a cloud layer to shine on the underside of clouds to the east of us. This one had a sort of aurora borealis feel to it, presumably the result of virga (rain falling but evaporating before reaching the ground).
This photo is just as it came from the camera, with no post-processing.
I am supposed to be in the studio today working on this tile. It is based on a photo of a Chinese reverse glass painting. The painting was very surreal. My second to last pottery class is tomorrow, and I have not turned in any work to be fired.
I am not supposed to be taking pictures, so I have been outside taking pictures all morning. I can't help it! The most amazing lily opened in the garden this morning. Something that has never bloomed here. It is beyond adorable.
I must stop.
As you can see, I am teaching myself how to carve, and faces are murder! I need to work on her eyes today and will probably make the dog 3D. I usually carve plaster to make a mold. The members of Artisan Tile Northwest in Seattle told me to learn to carve clay. So I am.
