This end of the store allowed the best overview of the whole central section. I think this picture is comparable to this 2002 picture.

The remaining aisle signs for the central aisles are barely visible to the right. Due to the placement of the aisles relative to the second story opening, the aisles only have one sign each, close to the front end of each aisle.

This is a reverse view of the first picture on this walk. Here I am looking down to the point where I started the walk

This was the actual image I went back to the Peak District for last weekend, before getting distracted by the Plug Hole at Ladybower.

As the winter wind pushes up the valley gathering speed across the Derwent reservoir, it hits the overflowing wall of Howden Dam and for a brief moment, reverses the flow pushing the water back over the top.

Armed with the big camera and tripod I shivered for a few hours dreaming of my hand warmer back at home charging in the office waiting for the right combination of wind and winter sun.

i had a run in with this thrift store this past Christmas season when i went in with my backpack on, and the clerk insisted on checking it in...

Which, upon asking, i discovered that this entailed, just setting it down behind the counter.

What annoys me about this policy; is that none of the stores that i've been to that require large bags and such to be checked in, don't really have a procedure for it.

The correct way to handle this, would be to have shelves for this, and attaching a numbered tag to the bag, and give the patron a matching number.

This system is still flawed, but it's slightly better than the nonexistent one.

The perfectly honest problem that i see with it, is that the person taking my bag will leave for a moment, another clerk will take her place, and then a ner'er do well will come along and buy something, then say; 'Oh & could i get my bag back." and she will hand it to him.

Of course; The store has a very firm policy of NOT being responsible in any way for the lost bag...!

So i just never shop at these places again.

Clicked at Anjaneri near Nasik. The wind speeds are so high that a big reverse drift is always prominent in monsoons.
