It’s estimated that we use 100 billion plastic bags each year in the United States, and these bags sit in landfills or litter our streets. Consider a reusable alternative in this no-sew workshop for recyclers of all ages.

Hosted by Campus Sustainability Office and Ole Latte and featuring the PSU Mug Runners program and ReUse Room.

O evento rolou dia 7/3/15 em uma parceria do Olabi com o Brownie do Luiz, PermaRio, Respeite um Carro a Menos, CicloCourier e Special Adventures. Mais infos: olabi.co/programacao/reuse-recicle-conserte/

I often treat my friends to dessert that I make and throwing away all those disposable cutlery makes me feel uneasy. I bought three sets of these reusable picnic forks (10 to a case) so I can do my part with reducing some waste. Love the cheery sunny yellow colour.

$7.90 for 30 forks!

This is a picture of our team (the Polar Bear Express) at Rocky Boots. The guy in the picture is the manager of Rocky Boots. He is putting a sign in his business for everyone to see. The sign is to help save the Polar Bears by using reusable water bottles. We can save the polar bears by having people use reusable water bottles.

This is the first successful rocket return onto a barge in the ocean, earlier this month.

I'm surprised that the rocket could fly with that open top.

You could say that this is the second good recovery: the rocket returned to the barge, properly in the previous attempt and came to rest. Only then did one of the fins fail. The otherwise perfect rocket tipped over and blew up.

- usually, the space pictures I get are free to use because they come from NASA- that's the government. their images are accessible by anyone.

- this is not a government photo, but the attribution line under the photo is, "Space-X/Wikipedia/Creative Commons". cool.

L2 made these bulk food and produce bags to use rather than the plastic ones provided at the store.

"We take reusable bottles to the next level at Green Mountain. There's no excuse for using a disposable cup around here!" - Sarah S. (Austin office)

For Earth Month 2012, Green Mountain Energy employees are sharing photos of how they live green each and every day. Both at work and at home, we all try to reduce our daily environmental impact in various ways. Here's a glimpse into how our employees are living green - and tips on what you can do to reduce your impact, too!

don't forget to bring a bag and don't forget to wash them : )

Things wot I use to save the world.

Reusable, insulated cup with a reusable straw. It only happens to be from starbucks. I don't actually like coffee.

It's pretty simple really, The ReUse Project is about finding multiple uses for things and throwing nothing away that doesn't have to be. ReUsing is kind of like Recycling, only we arent geting rid of things, we are finding new uses for them.

Here are a few examples of how you might ReUse...

Example 1:

I was walking down the street the other day when i found ________ in the trash. I decided to take ________ home and turned it into _________.

Example 2:

I had _______ sitting in my closet for the last million years and I finally did something with it.

Example 3:

I got _________ for my birthday this year, and i really didnt like it, so i cut it up and turned it into _______.

There are many ways to ReUse.

I bought this cool pattern paper/cloth buy the yard at a fabric store. You trace the pattern instead of cutting it out. I labeled my pattern pieces and I can reuse them, save them, pin them. I will always use this from now on.
