Reversible reusable grocery bags made fom a pattern I partially drafted based on instructions from

earth girl fabrics, but I lined the bag completely to make it sturdier rather than just facing it. I think the hippo and elephant material is Kokka - the lining fabric (shown on top) came from Joann's. My attempt at assembly instructions accompany the photo of the polka dot bag.

Repair Week: Toothbrush Rag Rug with Jessica Corlett by Institute of Making

With direction from arts and events coordinator, Jessica Corlett, participants learnt the surprisingly simple art of Amish toothbrush rug-making by reusing a retired toothbrush and waste textiles. We made our own rug making tool and mini rug, with no sewing required. Participants found out that rag rugs are a great way to reuse scrap fabric and are machine washable.
