The internet is abuzz this time of year with all kinds of fun holiday crafts. In this video we'll be making some reusable chalk board tags and some cute little tags made from scrabble tiles. Throughout the rest of the month we'll be doing all kinds of other crafts so check back to see what we're up to.
Community members in Heidelberg, Germany come the the Heidelberg Reuse Center on Patrick Henry Village to donate their old items and discover new finds.

Whilst finishing work on reinstalling the window Ben Sinclair (head of Norgrove Studios) made an interesting discovery; the left hand half of the windowcill was in actual fact a thirteenth century tombstone reused, it's decorated surface inaccessible from the ground floor.
The date was suggested by the design, which shows a simple foliated cross on a long stem with a small stepped plinth. The more elaborate head of the cross (left) is half embedded in the wall, where it has probably been since the early fourteenth century when the east window was remodelled (since replaced in the Victorian restoration, though the wall and windowcill seemed to have been unaffected by this)
It was hotter than all hell in that warehouse but fuck me it was fun. Got this shot on my phone because I was in full filming mode so didn’t have my photo camera.
After filling the jars for the grandkids I had several empty M&M bags,
So I placed small presents inside for other grandkids.
i'm all about reduce/reuse/recycle... Piddix has done it! i ordered some digital images on CDs and she sent them wrapped in 1950s pages! awesome! i could probably cut apart the postcard and use it in my crafts, too.. and the thank you card can be cut to be sent as a postcard! how nice!

Brickyard Lanes Bowling Alley Downtown La Grande Oregon.

This Urban Renewal funded project transformed a vacant and derelict building in downtown La Grande a bustling new destination that is helping encouraging more family friendly nightlife and additional entertainment related development in the award winning historic downtown district.

I love how my Mom reuses things to make garden stuff. This is a dustpan she made out of a broken handle and old tin cracker box.

Decorated with strigilata (wavy bands) reused for the burial of Archbishop Francesco d'Antiochia (d. 1320) and his brother and successor Bartolomeo d'Antiochia (d. 1320). Also used for Archbishop Paolo Visconti O.Carm (d. 1473). The lid is decorated with the Swabian imperial eagle, designating the origin of the Antiochia family. The Roman inscription in the centre reads: D.M. TAC. IVLIANO. IVOK. QVONDAM. AVR. LVCIL DA. CONIVGI. KARISSIMO. ET. LVCIVS. TACITIANVS. FILIVS. HEREDES. POSVERUNT. MERENTI. (To the gods of the dead. Aurelia Lucilda and Lucius Tacitianus, son and heir, laid down [this monument] to a most beloved spouse, the deserving Tacitianus Julianus Evocatus). Palermo Cathedral, Sicily.

Inscription on the side of the lid: Hec est requies Pauli civis nostri / Et presulis di Visconti (The patron Francis lies here, an exile from the world, made a fellow citizen in the kingdom of the eternal king. His surname is Antiochenus and its origin is the same as the imperial family line. When Christ was born of the virgin one thousand three hundred years and twain [not sure what "denos" means here] the vigorous superintendent [i.e. bishop] glad Franciscus, imperial descendant, is here enclosed from the world. Here is the resting place of Paul di Visconti, our fellow citizen and bishop)
