Steam enthusiasts have at least four opportunities a year to ride a steam train in Thailand. These day trips take place on 26th March (anniversary of the opening of the first public railway), 12th August (Queen’s birthday), 23rd October (anniversary of the death of King Chulalongkorn) and 5th December (HM The King’s birthday). Sometimes there are additional trips. Each trip has a different destination. The steam trains are usually kept at the workshops near Thonburi station when not being used. I have been there before to take pictures though officially it’s not open to the public.

Unlike many resort towns in this region, Çeşme has retained a local population and flavour. Only 8km from the Greek island of Chios (Sakız), the town has a long seafront perfect for promenading, a magnificent castle built by the Genoese and a bustling merkez (commercial centre) with plenty of shops and cheap eateries. Popular with weekending İzmiris and with those who balk at the high prices and style overload at nearby Alaçatı, it's an excellent base for exploring the region.

"It wasn’t always easy, but this? This is wonderful."
He took a deep breath, enjoying the cool morning air as he leaned against his beloved scooter. The outfit today was particularly fun: a soft cream colored sweater tucked into a skirt with a gentle A-line shape, and an oversized beige jacket that almost felt like a cozy hug. He’d added a scarf in a muted shade of grey for texture, its woolly softness contrasting beautifully the crispness of cotton shirt beneath. The colors were soothing – earth tones reflecting his love for calm mornings like this one.
He remembered years of listening to others, letting their opinions dictate the shapes he wore. Then he realized how much he’d been missing! Now, he's free to embrace a look that resonates with him, and often it is playful.
This morning, heading to his ceramics class where he makes whimsical animal mugs, he felt a little self-conscious. He expected a double take or two. Instead? Smiles. A nod of approval from the baker. The young girl across the street shouted, "Lovely skirt!" It's amazing how many people you can connect with just by being yourself!

Car ride at Knoebel's Grove in Elysburg, PA.
Knoebel's is a family owned and operated resort/amusement park located in a rural area of Pennsylvania. With a campground located on property, and dozens of vintage and historic rides nestled amongst the trees, the park maintains a relaxed and traditional feel that is a welcome contrast to the crowded corporate feel of larger parks.
A temple of another kind, worship of another type, somewhere in Hong Kong.

I've shot with alot of camera's over the years, but I can honestly say this is by far the best camera I have ever owned. I sold my Olympus EP3 and alot of other Micro Four Third stuff to help fund it, best decision I've ever made. Also,I don't miss having a zoom lens either!
