Tim Ahrens’ (Just Another Foundry) striking, conspicuous, grayletter typeface »Zalamander«.
Zalamander:
Blackletter, sans serif, graffiti, constructivism: all these influences are combined into a lively and dynamic – and somehow “disobedient” – typeface. Since blackletter fonts typically don’t look great when used in all-caps, Zalamander comes with a special Caps version that contains letter variants that combine nicely in uppercase.

The term "collective memory" denotes the aggregate of memories, knowledge, and data that a social group holds, which is intrinsically linked to the group's identity. The term "collective memory" in English and its French counterpart "la mémoire collective" emerged in the latter half of the 19th century. Maurice Halbwachs, a philosopher and sociologist, further developed this concept in his 1925 work, «Les cadres sociaux de la mémoire». Both expansive and intimate social collectives can create, disseminate, and inherit collective memory.
Contrary to the term "collective memory," which is somewhat ambiguously defined yet generally accepted, the notion of "collective memories" is inherently problematic. Memories are the results of the individual acts of recollection, making the idea of "collective memories" paradoxical. Сontemporary diffusion models utilize vast amounts of often unidentified data, including historical and personal old photographs, vintage postcards, and other kinds of publicly circulating images. These models may be seen as involved in the prompts-driven singular acts of remembrance, producing images that paradoxically represent "collective memories," something otherwise unfeasible and ultimately, non-existent.

Typeface in use(background):
The striking, groovy, retro typeface »Marvin« designed by Patrick Griffin (Canada Type).
Marvin: The objective of this font was to try and find out how far back in the designer’s life this obsession with letters began. The challenge was to draw, from memory only, two sets of caps that recall older Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies lettering. The experiment was a success, which means that the designer’s got it bad since he was, like, four!
And here we are. Marvin is a great cartoon font that can help you build your very own Illudium Q-36 Space Modulator, so you can trigger that earth-shattering kaboom. Then you're on your way to claim this planet in the name of Mars. Isn't it lovely, mm?

Parade day is street candid day. There are lots of people on the street and it is great platform for street candid shooting.
I shoot street candids on the day. And I shoot street candid photographer also on the day.
The gentleman was using a Leica and I believe it is a film camera. He reminds me my greatly admired master Henri Cartier-Bresson with his famous Leica M3.
Looking at the Leica photographers, you will see a difference between conventional photographers and Leica users. There is a sense of elegance. They are much more relaxed, calm and confident.
I wish one day I could be like that. I will start my savings plan now and hope that may be at year 2022 I have enough money to get a kit of Leica M15 with all the prestigious lenses. :o)
Have a great Wednesday!!

Alejandro Paul’s (Sudtipos) superb, sturdy, brush script »Whomp«.
Whomp takes its inspiration from the work of an American master in sign painting and alphabet manipulation: Alf Becker.
In 1932, Becker began designing a series of alphabets to be published in Signs of the Times magazine at the rate of one alphabet per month. Nine years later, 100 of those alphabets were compiled in one book that became an enormous success among sign painters. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, many Alf Becker alphabets were digitized with blurbs that falsely credit an “Alf Becker typeface”. Alf Becker was not really a typeface kind of guy. He was more of a calligrapher and sign painter. His alphabets were either incomplete or full of variations on different letters, and didn't become typefaces until the digital era.
This particular Becker alphabet was quite incomplete. In fact, it wasn't a showing of an alphabet, but words on a poster. Alejandro Paul took the challenge of drawing, digitizing, restructuring, and finally building a complete usable typeface from that partial alphabet. He then extended his pleasure by once again playing with the wonderful possibilities of OpenType. Whomp comes with more than 100 alternates, tons of swashy endings and ligatures, all built into the font and accessible through OpenType palettes in programs that support such features.
This is the in-your-face kind of font that stands among other Becker-based alphabets as paying most homage to the vision of this great American artist who saw letters a live ever-changing beings.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) was the first iteration of the SL-Class grand tourer and fastest production car of its day. Introduced in 1954 as a two-seat coupé with distinctive gull-wing doors, it was later offered as an open roadster.
Built by Daimler-Benz AG, the direct fuel injected production model was based on the company's highly successful yet somewhat less powerful carbureted overhead cam straight 6 1952 racer, the W194.

Thanks for checking out my work!
This McDonald's is located across from the Muscle Shoals Walmart Supercenter, and thankfully hasn't been given a modern makeover like yesterday's previously posted Jonesboro location. Since this drive-by photo turned out not so good, here's Google's 2016 Street View to glance over as well. Note how the left end of the building was extended for a large drive thru portico (making the front of the place seem rather massive!), as seen in that linked photo. Per Google Earth, this location was built (or extensively remodeled) sometime between 2001 and 2005, with the previous incarnation possibly being a wide, mansard-style building (hard to tell for sure from the very fuzzy 2001 aerial - could even be a car wash, dog park, or small movie theater was on the site previously, haha)!
