The cir-clip popped on Tom's shock when he went off the road at BIR in '99. I put this muffler clamp on it to hold the car up so we could load it on the trailer. It's now been there for thirteen years, and run two autocross events this way.
Die-Tech Offroad Seat Retainer for 2007-2012 JK... on a 2014 JK. Doesn't quite fit right - a bit too long. However you can kinda force/slide it in place sideways and it will prop the seat up. Extremely well built, just not the right part for my jeep. Knew that going in to it, but figured i'd chance it since it had been out of stock for so long. The tombe chest to the Whyte family was discovered during restoration to be made up of several differnt pieces, the base for example being of the 15th century. the brasses depict John whyte, his wife and their children.
John Whyte was a retainer of Thomas Wriothesley, 1st Earl of Southampton, and Esquire of the Body to Henry VIII.
After the dissolution of the monastries he was rewarded with the land that had belonged to the priory by the King. He pulled down the church and converted the The Priors lodges to creat Southwick Park - on the site of Southwick Hall today.
In 1566 he restored this church for the village and died in 1567 leaving his manor to his son Edward who became High Sherrif and married Mary Pounde.
John had married Katherine Pounde who died in 1548.
Shoot ... The top and bottom marquee retainer bars are sticking out too far. I'll have to cut the shelves back so that I can mount the retainer bars further back.

We got it home and tried to get it in there, but the #%@&! cam was in the way! It had to come out anyway to replace the seal, so cam pulley was removed. I found myself in a bind trying to get the two big screws in the back of the head loosened! I needed a #3 phillips on a short ratchet attachment. I tried a #2 offset screwdriver, but they were too tight and I felt it starting to damage the screw – I stopped.
Chris was kind enough to take me to Otterzone again and then to Lowes in the search of a tool – nothing - #@$%!!
On the quest, I realized a #3 small bit in a ¼” box wrench would work. We get back to my house empty handed and I searched for the above two tools I knew I had. That too another half #@$%&! hour!
Finally find them and got the two screws out along with the retainer plate.
Gently ease the cam out and it will not pass the radiator top rail! More #@^*&!!
