Here both the top and bottom marquee retainer bars are mounted further back on each shelf. I cut them back so that the marquee and bars are no longer protruding past the sides.
Now I need to paint the bare wood that is now exposed on either side of the marquee.
The bottom retainer bar is now secured, but the top is not yet screwed down as I still need to cut the top shelf back by another 1/8 inch or so.

Hehe. Also, when not chasing after Ittō Ogami and his son Daigorō, the Yagyū were a fairly normal daimyo clan, administering their small fief near Nara and teaching swordsmanship to the first three Tokugawa Shoguns.
Like most daimyo clans, the Yagyū ran into financial trouble during the Edo period. The burdens of funding the alternative attendance journeys to and from Edo every other year along with maintaining residences in the Shogun’s capital were a heavy drain on the small clan’s finances. The Oyamada family served as the hereditary o-karō (chief senior retainers) of the Yagyū clan and played a big role in helping turn around the clan’s finances in the Edo period. The Oyamada house has survived the test of time and has been turned into a very interesting and fun museum that sheds some light on what it was to live in the Yagyū han. I loved this house, as those who know me, know that I have an affinity for the lights, shadows and beautiful contrasts that old Japanese houses create.

One side is tightened to hold it in place and the other side just hooks over the screw. The strap stretches to accommodate different seat tube diameters.

Retainers Court of Cotehele House, St Dominick, Cornwall.
Cotehele is a Tudor House that has its origin in the 13th century. It become home of William Edgcumbe through marriage to heiress Hilaria de Cotehele in 1353. Probably just a fortified manor house at that time.
The following generations made further improvements specially Richard Edgcumbe who supported Henry VII. Mount Edgcunbe House. The Edcumbe family moved from here to Mount Edcumbe House in the 17th century.

"Retayner" is a well-known multi-disciplinary artist from Melbourne who is deeply tied to both the city's graffiti scene and its underground hip-hop culture.
"Retayner" is known for an aesthitic which ranges from classic illegal writing structures to complex, intertwined lettering, sharp geometric extensions, and layered arrows.
Finally, quoting and paraphrsing "Bailer's" epic publication "Wall Stories"; "Retayner" is infamous for surviving a horrific, near-fatal accident during his teenage years. While attempting to paint on the roof of an active electrical substation, he touched live power lines. The resulting explosion blew off two of his toes and severely burned his hand to the bone.

Kishiwada Castle, located in Osaka, was built by Koide Hidemasa, a retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, in 1582, near the site of where Kusunoki Masashige built a fort in the 1300s. In 1640, ownership of the castle was transferred to Okabe Norikatsu and the Okabe family maintained possession of the castle and the Kishiwada fief until the Meiji Restoration in 1868.
In 1827 lightning destroyed the castle’s main keep and much of the remaining part of the castle was destroyed during the fighting between the Tokugawa and Imperial forces during the civil strife associated with the Meiji Restoration. The current three-story ferroconcrete keep was built in 1954, but it has been confirmed that the original donjon was 5 stories. The moat and the outer stone walls are all that remain of the original castle. All other structures, including the gate, are reconstructions.
The renowned garden designer, Mirei Shigemori, constructed the Hachi Jin no Niwa rock garden in 1953 using chlorite schist from Okinoshima Island in Wakayama Prefecture and white sand from the Shirakawa River in Kyoto. He personally chose all the larger stones and arranged the garden based on the Chinese concept of the battle formation of the eight elements of heaven: earth, wind, clouds, dragons, tigers, birds and snakes.

Raisuke was born into a family of retainers for the noble house of the Emperor, and was raised to be the personal bodyguard of the young princess Himeko. His father, the current head of the family's protection, taught him in the arts of strategy and warfare first and foremost after catching wind of his son's keen intellect and wisdom from a young age before moving him into the realms of swordsmanship. However, it was soon apparent that his body type was more adept towards kodachi and tanto swordsplay than the honorable katana, but he made use of his agility and lean strength to compensate for the lack of range and pure physical strength. Everything seemed to be well for him and his family until his tenth season, when war broke out across the land and the captial was attacked by the coming Fuedal Lord. Charged with protecting Himeko he left his father to the battlefield and moved with a fellow retainer from a different family, only to find that they had betrayed him and their princess. Raisuke attempted to defend the girl but to no avail with the sheer numbers overwhelming him, and was forced to watch his family, his beliefs, and his princess fall before his eyes. In the midst of this he passed out only to be found by a traveling shinobi who saved him from the blaze, and left him outside of Kyoto...where he spent the next two to three years living on the streets. There he saw the true poverty in the world, and adepted his military intelligence with streetsmarts to grow and live in the dog eat dog world with a vow to one day redeem himself and change it for the better. When he was thirteen he came across a traveling monk who told him he was destined to follow the road of Seiryuu, and took him under his wing. For the next few years he was disciplined in the Tenga Ryu Ken and learned arts of the spirits of win and ice. By the time he sixteen he was declared a master in his craft and ready to walk the roads of his destiny...and when he re-entered the world he found it on the brink of war once more, and seeking a master to give his strategies and blade to serve...or to become a lord to end the tide of chaos himself.
