The Katō family served as chief retainers to the lord of Kameyama castle. Their large samurai home, which dates back to the late Edo Period, is well preserved and worth a visit if you are in the area of Kameyama in Mie Prefecture.
Kameyama in Mie Prefecture was the 46th stop along the old Tōkaidō road and was also the seat of a feudal domain and castle town.
The original Kameyama Castle was built in 1254 by Seki Sanetada. However, in 1590, it was rebuilt by Okamoto Munenori in a location near the site of the original castle. The Kameyama Castle was built in 1590 by Okamoto Munenori.
The castle keep was accidentally destroyed in 1632 when orders were issued by the Shogunate that the keep of Kameyama Castle in Tamba Province be rebuilt. The lord of Kameyama Castle in Mie at the time, Miyake Yasumori obliged. When the mistake was realized, it was too late and the Shogunate never gave approval for the main keep to be rebuilt. Not long after this little episode, Honda Toshitsugu became lord of the Kameyama fief and he built a tamon-style turret on the base where the castle’s main keep once stood. In 1953 the castle’s tamon yagura was designated as a historic site by the Mie prefectural government in 1953.
A word to the prospective Mie Kameyama Castle visitor—unless you *really* need or want to see this castle, I’d skip it. Most of the views of the castle are obscured for at least 3 out of the 4 seasons and the Yagura is not open to visitors.
This is a famous ghost well that is called OKIKU Well.
Okiku is a name of a beautiful young woman who was a servant for the
retainer of the lord, the Aoyama family. One day she overheard
Aoyama's plot to murder the lord and assume the lordship. Okiku
repeated what she heard to her lover, who was a loyal warrior. As a
result, the plot failed.
Later when Aoyama found out that it was Okiku who interfered with his
plans, he became very angry and ordered Okiku's death. To make her
murder seem more plausible, the retainer had one of ten treasured dishes
stolen and blamed Okiku. She was tortured to death on account of the
missing dish, and she was thrown into the well. It is said that her sobs can
be heard coming from the bottom of the well since that day. She counts
the treasured dishes, "One, two, . . ."

I thought abought the beehive springs but I liked the idea of a dual spring incase one breaks the other spring will hopefully prevent it from dropping a valve.The inner spring is removed in this photo for cam break-in.

Kishiwada Castle, located in Osaka, was built by Koide Hidemasa, a retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, in 1582, near the site of where Kusunoki Masashige built a fort in the 1300s. In 1640, ownership of the castle was transferred to Okabe Norikatsu and the Okabe family maintained possession of the castle and the Kishiwada fief until the Meiji Restoration in 1868.
In 1827 lightning destroyed the castle’s main keep and much of the remaining part of the castle was destroyed during the fighting between the Tokugawa and Imperial forces during the civil strife associated with the Meiji Restoration. The current three-story ferroconcrete keep was built in 1954, but it has been confirmed that the original donjon was 5 stories. The moat and the outer stone walls are all that remain of the original castle. All other structures, including the gate, are reconstructions.
The renowned garden designer, Mirei Shigemori, constructed the Hachi Jin no Niwa rock garden in 1953 using chlorite schist from Okinoshima Island in Wakayama Prefecture and white sand from the Shirakawa River in Kyoto. He personally chose all the larger stones and arranged the garden based on the Chinese concept of the battle formation of the eight elements of heaven: earth, wind, clouds, dragons, tigers, birds and snakes.

Had to sand the hole a bit, but seems to fit nicely. Thankfully I printed a few extras before it broke. Also finally had an excuse to add that nut under the ptfe barrier.
A few minutes after I started it up, the retainer started to deform. Looks like PLA can't handle the heat.

The anchor bolt for the return spring was not in particularly good condition having lost some of its chrome plating and being rusted. I have machined the top nut flat, drilled the centre and fitted a stainless tapered cap head and spigot which is silver brazed into place. After polishing, it matches the other similar AK fittings.
