Had to sand the hole a bit, but seems to fit nicely. Thankfully I printed a few extras before it broke. Also finally had an excuse to add that nut under the ptfe barrier.
A few minutes after I started it up, the retainer started to deform. Looks like PLA can't handle the heat.
The Oyamada served as the chief retainers of the Yagyū clan.
Many of us know of the Yagyū clan from what we see in samurai TV shows, movies and fictional books. More often than not, the Yagyū are portrayed as devious puppet masters, controlling the Shogunate’s spy and information gathering network and manipulating it for their own profit—with the exception of the one-eyed Jūbei, who like Musashi, fought a lot of duals, both imaginary, real and reel. Hehe. Also, when not chasing after Ittō Ogami and his son Daigorō, the Yagyū were a fairly normal daimyo clan, administering their small fief near Nara and teaching swordsmanship to the first three Tokugawa Shoguns.
Like most daimyo clans, the Yagyū ran into financial trouble during the Edo period. The burdens of funding the alternative attendance journeys to and from Edo every other year along with maintaining residences in the Shogun’s capital were a heavy drain on the small clan’s finances. The Oyamada family served as the hereditary o-karo (chief senior retainers) of the Yagyū clan and played a big role in helping turn around the clan’s finances in the Edo period. The Oyamada house has survived the test of time and has been turned into a very interesting and fun museum that sheds some light on what it was to live in the Yagyū han. I loved this house, as those who know me, know that I have an affinity for the lights, shadows and beautiful contrasts that old Japanese houses create.
I will admit, it was my fault. I left it out of my case, and he saw this little piece of plastic that could fit into his mouth. And he broke them.

the retainer is fairly new. I'm wearing it right now. Since it was one of the options when I ordered it, I just had to go glitter.
I needed another wrench. Like the other one, I can keep it from slipping by bolting it in place and backing off the nut as the retainer comes out.
After I made a replacement chain tube retainer for my much-missed HP Velotechnik Speedmachine I was sufficiently impressed that I copied the design for my Lightning P-38. In the end, I preferred that bike without tubes, and the tube and its piano wire retainer lay in the garage ever since.
The retainer was retrieved, turned upside down and bent in strategic places, and attached to the Quest's original chain tube, its chewed end shortened by about two inches and re-flared with the heat gun and a screwdriver handle. The flare keeps the chain entry smooth and stops the tube moving forwards through the wire loop, and a cable tie stops the tube moving backwards.
This setup will hopefully solve the problem.

Kishiwada Castle, located in Osaka, was built by Koide Hidemasa, a retainer of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, in 1582, near the site of where Kusunoki Masashige built a fort in the 1300s. In 1640, ownership of the castle was transferred to Okabe Norikatsu and the Okabe family maintained possession of the castle and the Kishiwada fief until the Meiji Restoration in 1868.
In 1827 lightning destroyed the castle’s main keep and much of the remaining part of the castle was destroyed during the fighting between the Tokugawa and Imperial forces during the civil strife associated with the Meiji Restoration. The current three-story ferroconcrete keep was built in 1954, but it has been confirmed that the original donjon was 5 stories. The moat and the outer stone walls are all that remain of the original castle. All other structures, including the gate, are reconstructions.
The renowned garden designer, Mirei Shigemori, constructed the Hachi Jin no Niwa rock garden in 1953 using chlorite schist from Okinoshima Island in Wakayama Prefecture and white sand from the Shirakawa River in Kyoto. He personally chose all the larger stones and arranged the garden based on the Chinese concept of the battle formation of the eight elements of heaven: earth, wind, clouds, dragons, tigers, birds and snakes.
Important: Do not reuse retainer (915), it must be replaced.
4. Use a small screwdriver in order to disconnect the manual valve link retainer (915) from the manual valve link (913). Important: Do not pry against the internal mode switch assembly (942).
5. Lift the manual valve and link assembly link (916) out of the inside detent lever (17).
Well, I gave a try at forced perspective, I thought it came out ok! I ordered this along with a WWII Rifleman, 3 HACS and A Sabr and shells in a recent GI Brick Order. The gold thing by the broken water retainer is the shell from the MAAWS. Please tell me what you think of it guys! Thanks!

George Washington is undergoing refueling complex overhaul (RCOH) at Newport News Shipyard. RCOH is a multi-year project performed only once during a carrier’s 50-year service life that includes refueling the ship’s two nuclear reactors, as well as significant repairs, upgrades, and modernization. This is a famous ghost well that is called OKIKU Well.
Okiku is a name of a beautiful young woman who was a servant for the
retainer of the lord, the Aoyama family. One day she overheard
Aoyama's plot to murder the lord and assume the lordship. Okiku
repeated what she heard to her lover, who was a loyal warrior. As a
result, the plot failed.
Later when Aoyama found out that it was Okiku who interfered with his
plans, he became very angry and ordered Okiku's death. To make her
murder seem more plausible, the retainer had one of ten treasured dishes
stolen and blamed Okiku. She was tortured to death on account of the
missing dish, and she was thrown into the well. It is said that her sobs can
be heard coming from the bottom of the well since that day. She counts
the treasured dishes, "One, two, . . ."

Hawley retainers are the original retainer design and are still quite popular today. Doctors like the design because it is easy to adjust and the labial bow wire is rather rigid. This keeps the patient from deforming it in the process of putting the retainer in and taking it out.
