Look how cloudless Texas skys are. And I have gay wisdom teeth! Ugh!
Do they hurt to get pulled?
Ah yay 8,000 views. I know it's not as many as yall but it's a lot for the short time I've had mine :D
Teeth retainers are expensive and when you lose or break the one you have, getting a new one could upset your budget. Putting off the replacement of your dental retainer could be an even more expensive decision as it could cause a relapse of your orthodontic treatment.

My very cool old Uncle Elmer died and I went to his funeral in south Jersey and when it was all over I drove around Barnegat, NJ for a bit and took a few photos with the Olympus E-P2. Here with the 45mm f/1.8 prime.
You can see the blog post detailing why I have selected the Olympus PEN cameras as my small carry-about cameras (as opposed to my big Nikons) here: blog.entropicremnants.com/2012/04/16/evil-intentions-livi...
Please visit the Entropic Remnants website or my Entropic Remnants blog -- THANKS!
My most recent DIY retainers. These actually fit quite well but still weren't very smoothly polished on the inside.
Our cobblestones are American made and are salvaged from Olde New England streets and roadways. They come with beautifully smooth worn tops. They are 10”-12"L X 4”-6"W X 5”-6"D. These cobbles weigh approx 30 lbs. Use these cobblestones for driveways, paved walks, patios, low retainers or interior architectural applications.

Without the retainer holding it down, it just lifts out. At this point, you don't want to remove any more of the diaphram controls as you need to be able to open it during the front group removal.
This is what I found first at GoodWill, just the cork and wood balls on the leather cord. Then, after searching, I knew what the carafe looked like, so I went back into the store.
Here is a lightweight alloy rear hub shell. Rather than loose ball bearings or balls in retainers, cartridge bearings snap in and then the dust covers screw onto the hub. No careful adjustment of bearing cones is needed and the bearings will never loosen. Initially these were used on the most expensive custom French touring bikes. The design was long proven to be superior and used in industrial machinery. Rene Herse used bearings from "SKF" of Sweden - one of the oldest and finest precision bearing makers in the world. The Maxi-car company in France would become the prestige manufacturer of cartridge bearing hubs, unmatched before the appearance of Phil Wood decades later.

These are the grave stones of the 47 (actually 46) ronin who were immortalized in Japanese history when they committed the ultimate act of loyalty to their deceased master. Asano Naganori was the lord of the Ako domain which is located in what is now Hyogo prefecture. During a visit to Edo castle, Asano was insulted by remarks made by Kira Yoshinaka which enraged him to the point where he slashed at Kira with his short sword/dagger. The result was that Asano was forced to committ seppuku for behaving in such a manner inside the castle (the spot inside the castle grounds can be seen in another photo). This left the Ako retainers with no job, basically. Many of them, under the leadership of Oishi Kuranosuke, planned revenge against Kira. To make a long story short, forty-seven of them ambushed Kira and killed him. After bringing the head of Kira to the grave of their master, they turned themselves in to authorities. The end result was that they were sentenced to committ seppuku under the charge of an illegal vendetta.
Standard Curb
Reclaimed standard curb from road improvement projects throughout New England. We always try to keep a good supply of first and second generation curb in stock.
Appearance:
First generation Curb. Late 1800’s – early 1900’s. All sides are split faced. Tops were dimpled or pointed for a more decorative look

The Oyamada served as the chief retainers of the Yagyū clan.
Many of us know of the Yagyū clan from what we see in samurai TV shows, movies and fictional books. More often than not, the Yagyū are portrayed as devious puppet masters, controlling the Shogunate’s spy and information gathering network and manipulating it for their own profit—with the exception of the one-eyed Jūbei, who like Musashi, fought a lot of duals, both imaginary, real and reel. Hehe. Also, when not chasing after Ittō Ogami and his son Daigorō, the Yagyū were a fairly normal daimyo clan, administering their small fief near Nara and teaching swordsmanship to the first three Tokugawa Shoguns.
Like most daimyo clans, the Yagyū ran into financial trouble during the Edo period. The burdens of funding the alternative attendance journeys to and from Edo every other year along with maintaining residences in the Shogun’s capital were a heavy drain on the small clan’s finances. The Oyamada family served as the hereditary o-karō (chief senior retainers) of the Yagyū clan and played a big role in helping turn around the clan’s finances in the Edo period. The Oyamada house has survived the test of time and has been turned into a very interesting and fun museum that sheds some light on what it was to live in the Yagyū han. I loved this house, as those who know me, know that I have an affinity for the lights, shadows and beautiful contrasts that old Japanese houses create.
