The front bearing retainer came loose. Found this 90 minutes from home. Managed to fix in in less than an hour.

I woke up at 7:45, grabbed my bag and was about to park at Austins house when I realized I didnt have my glasses, so I went back home for them and then back to Austins. We loaded up Austins guitar gear and went to the park and ride to meet One For The Angels at 8:30. Zoe(not the one I gave dreads to) and some other people were there, so Brooke and I talked with Zoe while we waited for OFTA. Someone called them, and apparently Zach had just woken up and hadnt picked up everone at the church yet.
So we waited for him to pick up everyone and then he was finally there. Matt and his friend rode with us. We were late cus of Zach, so we didnt get to the venue until 11:30ish instead of 10am. We were supposed to play 2nd or 3rd, but other bands were late so they made us go first. They barely gave us time to tune and adjust our levels. You couldnt hear the vocals, and we were rushed so we didnt do a good job. Then after 2 songs, they cut our set and told us we could only play one more. So we didnt even get to play our good songs. It was embarrassing.
Brooke and I were playing frisbee with some guys from OFTA but we were really bad so they made us watch xD So then we went to a shopping center for a few hours since it was an all day concert. We went to Starbucks, Gamestop, Barnes and Noble, a toy story, Radio Shack, I forget where else. We decided it is time for Confessions From Statues to end. At least until we practice more and get more songs so we dont have another horrible set. Then we went back to the venue and hung out for forever.
The other bands were good, but there was this one skanky scene chick that hooked up with a few guys and was showing her boobs for cigarettes. I tried to take a few naps but I could never fall asleep. We watched One For The Angels, In Alcatraz 1962, and Motionless in White. They were all super good!
Right before Motionless In White, I realized that the van battery was dead. So after the show we got a jump from OFTA and then left. We stopped at a Taco Bell in Frederick around 1am and then we went to the park and ride. And then guess what? Zach was late AGAIN. So we waited there for over an hour. At this point, I had to wake up in 3 hours for work sunday. So Jesse, Matt and his friend(I forget his name) said to just leave them there and go home. So I dropped Austin at home, went home and slept for a few hours before work.

Between 1465 and 1475 Mantegna devoted his energies to painting frescoes at the Ducal Palace, immortalizing Ludovico, his family, retainers, dogs and horses in an illusionistic gilded pavilion with landscape views, in what is now called the Camera degli Sposi.
The effort paid off and he was granted land amid orchards and gardens to the south of Mantua. In October 1476 he laid the house's foundation stone.
The design was revolutionary, consisting of an external cube containing a circular atrium open to the sky and echoing a Roman amphitheatre, set back slightly in the square to create larger frontal spaces to left and right. The overall proportions were calculated from complex mathematical, geometrical and probably musical harmonic principles.
The project turned into an epic. In 1478 Mantegna appealed to Ludovico for funds, but Mantua was in economic crisis and the Marquis had nothing to spare. In 1483, when the Florentine ruler Lorenzo the Magnificent visited Mantua, Mantegna showed him the site and his collection of antiquities, later writing to him to request assistance. There is no record of a reply. Over a decade later, Mantegna wrote to Ludovico's grandson, Francesco II, then ruling Mantua, to denounce a neighbour for stealing his bricks. Twenty years after construction began, Mantegna and his family finally moved in.
Their idyll lasted just five years. In 1501, burdened with debt, he was obliged to sign over the property to Francesco, in exchange for another house.
Memories of its historic importance and associations gradually faded, and by the 18th century it had fallen into disrepair. It later became part of a technical school.
Above the door is written A B OLIMPO which echoes the memory of the workshop of Phidias at Olympia.

Managed to get a simple eyeglass retainer strap onto the Google Glass. Rubber loop clasp was just flexible enough to stretch around the rear housing. This makes Glass roller-coaster and headbang ready.
Another picture of the braces without the retainer bar in place allowing the legs to be placed one in front of the other. I have all kinds of size 5 and 6 high heeled sandals (that belong to my model) that are for sale. I also make made to measure leg and body braces as well as any metal and/or leather bondage device or restraint that you can dream up. Contact me at my1970junk@msn.com for more information.
Most of 'Old Retainer' is still standing. This winter hasn't been much of a challenge yet but the summer drought and autumn wet we had might be.

The most bizarre thing I have unearthed so far as I'm cleaning out 20+ years of paperwork from my filing cabinet is the retainer I used to wear on my bottom teeth after I got my braces off.
Instead of a removeable one, they left the bands around my eye teeth (aka vampire teeth) on the bottom and attached a metal wire between them. This was supposed to keep my bottom teeth aligned. I finally had it taken out years and years later when I was at the dentist and I got annoyed for the umpteenth time at them having to thread behind it to floss my teeth. They actually tried to convince me to keep it on, can you believe it?

The garden of the New Otani Hotel in Tokyo stands on the property that was once the primary yashiki (estate) of the great Sengoku period feudal lord, Katō Kiyomasa (1562-1611). Kiyomasa was a trusted retainer and general of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the warlord who unified Japan in the wake of Oda Nobunaga’s assassination in 1582. Kiyomasa rose to fame during the battle of Shizugatake and soon found himself at the vanguard of many of Hideyoshi’s campaigns, including the invasion of Korea in 1592, in which Kiyomasa’s reputation as a master tactician, fierce fighter, castle builder and as a cruel man grew. To this day, the mere mention of Kiyomasa’s name in Korea is sure to bring a frown. Although loyal to the Toyotomi, if there was one thing that Kiyomasa hated more than Christianity and poor martial spirit among the samurai, it was Ishida Mitsunari, leader of the Western coalition of daimyo that opposed the rise of Tokugawa Ieyasu. It was this hatred of Mitsunari that drove Kiyomasa into the Tokugawa camp where he played a pivotal role in the Kyushu theatre of the Sekigahara campaign in 1600. As a result of his service, Kiyomasa was rewarded by becoming one of the elite daimyo who were allowed to build his Edo estate near the shogun’s castle in the upscale area that became known as Kioi-cho, named after the elite Kii Tokugawa, Owari Tokugawa and Ii daimyo families that kept their residences in this area.
As Kiyomasa was loyal to the house of Toyotomi and as a final showdown between the Tokugawa and Toyotomi grew, the Tokugawa began to have their doubts about where Kiyomasa’s ultimate loyalty rested. Fearful of having to face this fierce and influential warlord on the opposing side of the battlefield when the fighting would inevitably erupt in 1615, it has been suggested that the Tokugawa had him poisoned. Shortly after the fall of the Toyotomi, Kiyomasa’s son was accused of disloyalty (most likely a trumped up charge) and the family’s fief in Kumamoto, Kyushu was seized by the shogunate and the clan was abolished. Soon after this, the grounds of the Katō estate in Tokyo were given to the Ii family.
When the New Otani Hotel was constructed, it was decided to keep the traditional Japanese garden intact. Today the garden covers more than 10 acres and has over 800 trees, 10,000 flowering plants, ponds, a waterfall, and 42 stone lanterns, many of which date back from the Edo (1603-1868) and the Kamakura (1192-1333) periods.
Found this lagre Cicade (5cm long) belly up on a bike ridden street on this hot sunny morning in Shanghai. He must have flewn into a car or scooter and suffered sever head injury as he was just kicking his feet in the air and didn't have the strenght to flip himself over. So, I moved him out of the street and onto this concrete retainer block so he could spend his last moments in peace. To honor this little guy, I thought I would take his photo to show my friends his amazing glass wings. He possed graciously, holding in his pain as I snapped several photos. I even called over the parking attended to let him have a look. I said I think he is dying, in Chinese, and he laughed. ;"He's fine" the man said. I said no he's not.... and at that moment, Mr Cicade shook his wings twice, and took flight. Super happy he was okay. Then I giggled as it reminded me of that Monty Python movie.where they go around town saying "bring out our dead, bring out our dead" and then one of the "dead people" in the wheelbarrow says, "im not quite dead yet"
Funny morning and great turn of events. Hope you like the photo of this beautiful Cicade.
