Most of 'Old Retainer' is still standing. This winter hasn't been much of a challenge yet but the summer drought and autumn wet we had might be.
I thought I would wear my glasses and my retainer. This is pretty much what I looked like when I was in high school. Lol

Managed to get a simple eyeglass retainer strap onto the Google Glass. Rubber loop clasp was just flexible enough to stretch around the rear housing. This makes Glass roller-coaster and headbang ready.
The most bizarre thing I have unearthed so far as I'm cleaning out 20+ years of paperwork from my filing cabinet is the retainer I used to wear on my bottom teeth after I got my braces off.
Instead of a removeable one, they left the bands around my eye teeth (aka vampire teeth) on the bottom and attached a metal wire between them. This was supposed to keep my bottom teeth aligned. I finally had it taken out years and years later when I was at the dentist and I got annoyed for the umpteenth time at them having to thread behind it to floss my teeth. They actually tried to convince me to keep it on, can you believe it?
Another picture of the braces without the retainer bar in place allowing the legs to be placed one in front of the other. I have all kinds of size 5 and 6 high heeled sandals (that belong to my model) that are for sale. Found this lagre Cicade (5cm long) belly up on a bike ridden street on this hot sunny morning in Shanghai. He must have flewn into a car or scooter and suffered sever head injury as he was just kicking his feet in the air and didn't have the strenght to flip himself over. So, I moved him out of the street and onto this concrete retainer block so he could spend his last moments in peace. To honor this little guy, I thought I would take his photo to show my friends his amazing glass wings. He possed graciously, holding in his pain as I snapped several photos. I even called over the parking attended to let him have a look. I said I think he is dying, in Chinese, and he laughed. ;"He's fine" the man said. I said no he's not.... and at that moment, Mr Cicade shook his wings twice, and took flight. Super happy he was okay. Then I giggled as it reminded me of that Monty Python movie.where they go around town saying "bring out our dead, bring out our dead" and then one of the "dead people" in the wheelbarrow says, "im not quite dead yet"

Standard Curb
Reclaimed standard curb from road improvement projects throughout New England. We always try to keep a good supply of first and second generation curb in stock.
Appearance:
First generation Curb. Late 1800’s – early 1900’s. All sides are split faced. Tops were dimpled or pointed for a more decorative look
Second Generation Curb. Tops were typically sawn. Undersides were still split faced. Typically more dimensional and better quality step material.
Size:
First Generation. The older style typically measures 7”-8” in thickness, 18” – 24” in depth and various lengths.
Second Generation. Usually has smaller measurements. Typically 6” in thickness and 16”-18” radius curb generally kept in stock.
Use:
Curbing/edging/retainers for driveways, patios, raised gardens, courtyards and parks.

This evening I found one of my plants that was doing so well is now declining. With plants anything can happen at any time with dozens or reason why but those reasons can be difficult to identify. The plant is a white wizard philodendron. - On another note, I found spider mites on a small Croton, so that was just as frustrating. Hoping they don’t spread.

I had braces for 1.5 years.
I dont even have any gaps in my teeth. Whats the point?

The bearing retainer goes on next. It presses easily into place. You'll feel it snap into the groove in the cup. Removal of this is a little tricky when disassembling. I used a pick to get the first one out, but had to use needle nose pliers to get the second out. If using needle nose pliers grab one side of the retainer right next to the split and pull toward the center of the bearing cup circumference. It should come out of the groove and then you can work the rest of the retainer out.
